here, for christmas, the military holds a ceremony where families purchases christmas reefs to be placed on the tombstones of your loved one that served in the military. They call the soldiers name and someone from the family receives the reef, then after everyone's name has been called, they dismiss everyone to let them place the reef on the tombstone

Soldiers play their role in war, no matter what their job is. Everyone is subjected to get hit with a mortar, ied, rpg, or some other device.
