Ok so for reasonable doubts masters jay was willing to give biggs and dame the masters to vol1,vol2,vol3,dynasty,blueprint,blueprint2,the black album,the roc-a-fella name/brand and would not take the ceo/pres spot of defjam and roc-a-fella?....and niggas said no and now jay is wrong for that? Smh

Yeah I understand that RD was close to his heart & it represented their struggle, etc. but thats business & in business u need to think w/ ur head more often than ur heart. In the end Dame agreed to sell so I think a part of him ultimately accepted that their run was over. I dont think his problem waqs the break up but more so that Jay took the name. Dame thing was more of if it's not going to Roc-A-Fella...if it's not going to be the brand & the image that we built & were not all going to be a part of it then just let it die...call it smthn else. Obviously jay felt different.

As for why they said no to Jay's offer we gotta realize that even if they had taken it Roc-A-Fella (even w/ some talent left like Dipset & Kanye) would've probably died a slow death. In business ur reputation is everything & it precedes u. As stated before Dame was an asshole for lack of a better term & he burned a lot of bridges. Ppl put up w/ it b/c of the benefit of doing business w/ Jay, but w/ Jay gone how many major label execs would've given Dame a legit chance or put up w/ his attitude? Not too many IMO.
