Do you realize how pale Paul Wall is? you can't tell me that if you gonna sterotype, Paul Wall doesn't look like a redneck from the deep South?

Paul Wall looks like a typical white dude so does Everlast

As for Bubba Sparxx he looks very white to the type of white dude if you go outside you see everyday

Asher Roth has naturally blonde hair and blue eyes

Eminem is of German and Scotish heritage and doesn't even have blonde hair he has dark brown short hair lol

And Eminem if you actually look you will notice he is darker in complextion then Paul Wall, Bubba Sparxx, Everlast & Asher Roth

nun of them white mcz diss'd black people on record rappin so they can rap but fuuk a redneck like feminem,,,,

People cant use record sales as an argument. Jays impact is great but he influences young people to not wear jerseys anymore or what hot car they wanna drive. Where exactly else is his impact outside of music?

this is the point i've been tryin to make from the start u say em has the most commercial accomplishments even more then pac so does that make him the goat? though pac is much more realer and more felt in the hip hop community which em is not because he sometimes talks about some crazy ass shit em is nicer then pac thats not a dispute so theres things that pac doesn't do that em does and vice versa but jay is in the same Argument has em as far as nicest goes same argument as far as real shit with pac accomplishments with em and etc... now pac and em are 2 totally different artist though they are both considered to be the goat rightfully so there both legends in there own right but jay brings to the table some of the things pac does and some of the things Em does which is the point i have been tryin 2 make this whole time is that though jay might not be the nicest pac aint even in the discussion but people still claim him to be the goat he may not be the realest but em aint even in the discussion with that and i know people have there own opinion about the definition of the goat but i just feel jay brings everything to the table more then any other artist that i can think of and to me to be the goat means being all around which i believe jay is

and about your "opinion" of how em bodied jay on renegade and nas did the same in ether is just that your "opinion" and though i admit nas went in on jay on ether it wasn't no total murder like nas verse was a 10 lets say but as good as his verse was that dont take away from the fact that jay murdered nas in takeover its just that nas murdered him more id say takeover was a 9 and blueprint 2 was a great verse as well

and as far as renegade em verse was great but jay verse was 2 i say if em verse was a 10 then so was jay's cause me bein from the hood i enjoyed and felt jay's verse more just cause he was talkin bout some real shit in both verses and both verses was nice i just feel niggas just started sayen em bodied jay on renegade just cause nas said it in ether but listen to the verse if u a real nigga u'll appreciate jay's verses

I was just playing devil's advocate with the dude Neva Change.

It would seem to me that in order to truly be the GOAT, it would take some combination of commercial success, classic material, industry impact, longevity, etc. Jay has all of these things, yes. But he isn't the only rapper that has them.

In fact, if you dissect each facet one by one, Jay would probably be 2nd or 3rd with respect to his own career. He's not the most commercially successful. He isn't the only one with numerous highly lauded albums. He isn't the only one with longevity. And he isn't the only one with industry impact.

So how exactly is he the GOAT? Because he can "do it all." That's cool. That's your perception of it. I can't change your mind on that. So now moving on. Even if you feel that Jay is the GOAT because he can do it all, the facts still show that whenever Jay gets on a track with or battles with other GOAT contenders, he loses. Lyricism is a part of determining GOAT status, too. And if you can't beat the best, then you can't be the GOAT.

....yall gotta stop calling this dude a leader....being the most popular DOES NOT make you a LEADER...How can you lead if you don't stand 4 anything, he too politcally correct to be a leader.. Pac was a leader...If it was going down Pac would be with us (the people) Jay-Z would be right over there with the rich people (corporate).. listen to the shit he talks about money, thats the only thing he has over other artist....Leader bring people together....Jay splits them up...(State Property)

cosign....

ok about Jay not being the most commercially successful or the only rapper with numerous classic albums or longevity etc...that may be tru but wut other rappers bring all that to the table since u said he would be 2nd or 3rd

and u sayin he loses everytime he on the track with a GOAT contender 1 thing that is not a fact thats ur opinion and 2nd u might say jay lost the battle wit nas but u cant discredit his battle tracks just cause nas came with ether takeover was hard and blueprint 2 was hard but thats a endless argument and u sayin lyricism has something to do with bein the goat which i believe as well and thats y i dont see pac bein the goat

"He became what i think Nas should've been.... a leader in the Hip Hop community and the voice/ face/ representative/ embassador (whatever u wana call him). Nas just didnt have the drive & love for the game which i think he kinda lost with the passing of the above mentioned greats of hip hop."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I used to think the same thing. I remember one interview from before, they said after Big & Pac passed Steve Stoute wanted Nas to go super commercial, but Nas felt he had to take a step back and reflect... while Jigga saw an opportunity and took advantage of the hole that was left. They're two different artists who took completely different paths, but I think they're both equally talented emcees. In the end, despite a few half-assed albums, I think Nas can still look back on a great career and be glad that he survived through everything. He doesn't have the presence that Jigga has in the mainstream, but I don't think he's wants it either. Sales aren't a top priority for him; he just does his own thing now and places more emphasis on his message. Hopefully with this next Nas album - Distant Relatives - he really goes for it and puts in 100%, without any radio-friendly shit like Make The World Go Round to spoil the show.

This is true. Nas is as skilled as Hov and has also stayed relevant, but the one thing that separates the two is impact. Hov has taken hip hop to new heights and his music/style influence young people everywhere. Nas has also been very influential in hip hop and his work is admired by man legends, but Hov's impact on rap music is a bit greater, which just tips him above nas.

These kids or the younger generation got life fuck up homeboy.

If your proud of this generation, the direction that hip hop is going then I can see that you really don't know shit about the culture of the music, which really put your opinion with the likes those will argue that Sean Paul of the young bloods can out flow Jay z

I blam jay z for half bragging ass rappers out here. Dmx who fell off kinda said it best

"Jayz has no soul or emotion in his music anymore"

You can't say that about any of the names that you put in the hat of GOAT.

And who ever throwing up statics from MTV.com needs to kill them self for posting thatt shit. Mtv didn't even show rap videos untill the 90's nd even then they censore the shit out our videos really so how the fuck can mtv.Com say shit about who is the GOAT. That's

like G W Bush.com doing a poll on who's the GOAT?

Malcolm vs Martin.

Pac was the first rapper to come up with what still is the blueprint of rap is today asshole! If pac school biggie then how biggie school Jay.

2pac was the first rapper to really put an album together. That had all the elements that make up high selling album.

You gotta have some type of movement going to get your shit popin.

You got have at one song at lease for the ladies

One for those bitches

You got to have at lease one anthem.

You have that street thug shit. Now that Jeezy shit

You got to diss someone.

you got have a song for people that's ballin

You old school joint cant forget about when you was poor and started writting raps at you mammas kitchen table.

How tracks is that? 7,8

OH SHIT I for got about the drug song my favorite you got have those scoby doo,, in put three of them shits on there you know I smoke when happy depressed or stressed.

And Put some joints on there about the topics of the time

Then you got an classic.

Why do you care so much if people make a lot of Jay-Z threads? He's the most popular rapper in the IC right now, and after BP3, he has every reason to be. He has 11 number one albums.....more number one albums than any other solo artist in history.....what the fuck do you expect? You come across as a very whiny person in this thread.....it's almost as if it bothers you that people like Jay-Z. Why do you care? Ignore the thread and move the fuck on. It's not that serious out here lol....godamn.
