to me a classic cd dominants the era that it puts out...its message reaches and touches the people in future generation hence the word classic. When I go back and listen to all of Jay's work he different. Has some classic songs but only tree classic albums

reasonable doubt, buleprint, and the dynasty albums. Those three cd I can listen to with out skipping one song. The rest of them shits I be skipping through. And all you jay z dick riders know you do the same.

Jay has three classics imo. Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint and Black Album. He also has some weak albums like Volume 3, Bp 2, Kingdome come. Dynasty and Volume 2 are more or less compilation albums. I like both but they arent classics. His most underrated album is volume 1 imo.

1st off I'm not ignorant at all. Feel free to look that definition up also. You haven't proved me wrong on anything so far. Which means my knowledge is intact. It's very clear to me that you don't know much at all. If you come in here saying pac moved to the west in 1995 and got tough when he signed with suge,you're showing me that you have been pre programmed to believe bullshit. My definition of being lyrical in hiphop is the same as songs in general. Whoever comes across with their point in the most effective manner,while being creative,is what i personally think is lyrical. I think 2pac was the master at sprinkling his vast vocabulary,saying things in a different fashion,yet utilizing simplicity to make it more authentic. I believe he balanced his shit,and vocally delivered it better than anyone. We could argue all day about what the definition of lyrical,is or should be. But as you've already admitted 2pac's music was felt the most. Hence 2pac's songs were more convincing and effective to the listener. Which is the simple answer to why i think 2pac's the better rapper. Here's an opinion that even you will probaly agree with. 2pac,jay-z,nas,eminem,biggie etc are all masterful rappers, yet 2pac was felt the most and by a large margin. You have to ask yourself why. Why is jay virtually crying on "what more can i say"? He's upset cause he's not the undisputed goat.

I'm not saying he was supposed to hold a grudge,but damn, have some self respect.If he had enough pride to not hop on 2pac's album,he shouldn't have redid his song either.I could see just taking the beat and dissing him back,but he redid the whole song. As far as 2pac not being top 10 lyrical, you need to ask yourself why he was more felt than all of them. If 2pac figured out what was the most effective stance to write from and executed it,how's he not lyrical. What's the point in any artist leaning towards whatever your definition of lyrical is,when 2pac's angle was the most effective? And i'm not reffering to commercial success at all. His songs made the biggest impact. I don't think you understand that 2pac strategically chose to rap how he raps. He has an interview about how decided to have a more direct style. Being that he's been dead since age 25,after 5 years in the game,and gone for over 13 years and still the most felt, he was obviously right. You got forty yr old rappers who have commercially been in the game 14 years,highly successful for a dozen years and sill are not more felt than a 25 yr old 2pac who hasn't made any new music for over a dozen years.

As far as real songs,i never said jay had none, i said he couldn't fuck with 2pac and he can't. About half the songs you named,fell flat and were forced and ineffective.
