The Blueprint is one the top 5 2000s Hip-Hop albums, and definitely one of my favorite Hip-Hop albums from the the 2000s...

...The Blueprint is a classic.

Disagree Let's be real....Nobody know Kanye West at the time and nobody know he made that beat until he released Through the Wire. If wasn't for this Bluepinrt and Kayne West would be still successful.

Yeah i'd agree - I think Kanye had too much talent to be held back by one track.

That's not true, KanYe was working with D.Dot, No I.D and Jermaine Dupri and doing song with NaS, Harlem World but he was unknown. Once he worked on "Blueprint" his whole career changed, working on this album Lead the way for him to even release a solo album. The Roc made KanYe and Just strictly In House Producers. KanYe himself said he owes his career this album, it changed his life.

"IZZO (H.O.V.A.)" was the 1st single that got KanYe nation wide attention for his production. Also Check out Jay's future Wife in the video.

THE DEBATE CONTINUES: After Jay claimed Horse had a better verse than NaS on "Oochie Wally", NaS struck back even harsher saying Eminem basically bodied Jay on his own album. The song was originally a Bad Meets Evil Callabo with Royce that was scrap and latter gave to Jay Z. Em already did the beat and did his verses and Jay just added his later. So this wasn't a studio callabo at all. Regardless Eminem obviously sounds more comfortable over the track since he produced it. Jay still came really dope but it does feel like an Eminem song featuring Jay and not the other way around.

After further review of the afore mentioned audio recording, we the jury find "The Blue Print" album released by artist Shawn Carter also know as Jay-Z also known as Camel Face to be a classic.

girls girls girls 5 mics nigga?

Absolutely. That beat and sample were perfect and the concept of Jay rapping about Girls of all kinds all over the world worked great. Not to mention him have 3 amazing Emcees on the Hook with Slick Rick, Q-Tip and Biz Markie, how is the song not a Classic? because it was kinda of commercial?, sorry not enough to deny it's dopeness. Amazing record, Just Blazed murdered it. Could Jay have went harder? sure but it was a concept song.

Jay the GOAT.Anyone who disagrees is lying.never had to get shot, piggie back on a already popular artist, did not need a bunch of guest spots or a gimmick and beef to sell like so many other rappers.Had the longest reign of being relevant and has the most classic albums out of any rapper.

was this interview 'before Pac' was dead.. or 'after Pac' was dead??

what difference does it make? Pac is dead and has been for over 10 years while Jay is alive and well.It looks like it's around the time the RD released and Pac was very much alive.Pac was not a big of factor as people make him out to be anyway.

aeom sold more than any jayz cd while pac was alive

jay best album flopped in 96 cause everybody was buying aeom

jay would not have a career if pac was alive

Like lesbi-honest this nigga hustled this rap shit without hesitation and did whatever it took to become number 1 - argue all day about how long he was on top, if he ever was, will he ever sell a million first week etc.

He knew rap was about hit records, knew he wanted to be on the other side of that desk helping artist (or not helping in his case lol) but did it.

I came across this on youtube and well quite insightful, food for thought.
