I won't get involved in this whole classic argument, but i will say that Blueprint is one of the best albums to come out in the 00's. Cohesively the album is one of the best i heard, the beats the lyrics the tracks all mesh together perfectly. Blueprint is probably also Jays best album production wise, the soulful beats really shone and although Jay dumb down his rhymeschemes and to a certain extent his lyrics, he was saying more meaningful shit than he was in his previous albums.

I agree that Lyrically though Jay came hard he was obviously showing signs of falling off at this point, this is why "Reasonable Doubt" is still his best album Lyrically, he was so sharp. I won't go as far to say Jay "Dumb downed" on "BP" but he again did start to show signs that he was decreasing skill wise lyrically.

i can't co sign these signs of falling off at all, bp2 was crazy. granted it had some weak points depending on your taste but rhyme for rhyme jay was going in. same goes for the s. collection black album i was bumping bp2 last night at work just to see what the hate on the album was about as if i missed something. i don't see it fam that was a good album i'd prolly only skip 4 or 5 joints other than that bp2 go hard imo. jay was weaker around vol 3 and dynasty then blueprint error
