I think some of it has to do with Jay-Z. But there isn't as much hate for Jay Electronica.

I think some of it has to do with his fans.

But also, Cole kind of came out on some "self-proclaimed Golden Child" heir apparent type shit, and he has yet to really produce, so it becomes funny to just hate on him.

basically its the Memph bleek effect.......i remember bleek use to get shitted on as much if not more than j.cole because he wasnt living up to his potential, basically the potential level that alot of people gave him because he was jayz artist. Thats just like if 2pac had a rapper under him, and most people didnt feel like he was living up to his potential that most set in there mind for him, it would be open season to shit on him. Thing is, Jay E. ain't on twitter and doing interviews and making videos about his shit coming out. He just laying low.
Alot of the Cole hate has been brought on by himself and/or his management. You got the people waiting and you keep retracting statements, saying the Summer is Yours, swearing the next single is the greatest shit ever and none it comes to fruition. Then you got leaks, no videos, no nothing. So on one hand you got his fans (which I am one) talking bout Cole is THAT NIGGA and then you got spectators like, "well if he's that nigga how come this that and the third".
Then it just becomes funny to hate
Cole is Losing (he hasn't Lost yet) until he proves otherwise
