Just watched Green Room.

Holy shit. What a crazy movie shit was good as hell.

Yeah man, one of the most visceral films of the year, been trying to put people onto it for a while.

Have you seen Blue Ruin?, same director, same sort of intensity.

Have not seen blue ruin. After Green Room though, I am watching Blue Ruin as soon as i get home. That Green Room movie blew me away. Its one of those movies you can only watch once though lol. Repeat viewings wont be as awesome. That first watch though.. Good god. Shit was intense.

I don't usually get queasy watching films but the part where
he has his arm stuck in the door pulls it back out, and his hand is just hanging off after being slashed to shit...maaaan that looked too real.

Rottweiler was a beast too.

Haha the movie was already giving me anxiety before that just trying to think of how they would get out of the situation, but co sign, when that shit happened is when it started getting REAL. The writing for this movie was top notch. You couldnt predict wtf was going to happen at any point in this movie. Amazing job and this director is on the radar for all future releases.

His very first film called "Murder Party" have you seen that one by chance? it was an indie film and apparently the actors had to play multiple roles due to the budget, but if you have seen it was it any good?

Yeah i have, it's a really basic film (like the production values are completely shit lol) but completely different in tone to ''green room" and "blue ruin", in that it's a bit more absurdist and not entirely serious.I don't remember it being too bad but nowhere near as good as what he made after.

Watched this yesterday. Awesome fucking movie. I did like Green Room a bit more, but in no way is this a bad movie. It was fucking awesome. Good ass revenge Story.

Blood Father starring Mel Gibson, Erin Moriarty, William H. Macy, & Diego Luna. An ex-addict and gang member (Gibson) is contacted by his missing daughter (Moriarty) after she ends up in trouble she got into with her criminal boyfriend she has been with since she ran away from home. From there pops has to dust off his old skills to keep them both safe from the dangerous criminals after her. Similar in tone to another recent Gibson flick in Get the Gringo but it's still a very enjoyable action flick although it is a tad bit corny at times (mainly in the dialogue although there are some gems dropped in there as well). 7/10.

Been bingeing on Netflix recently starting with:

This is in four series... very informative and got every living HipHop founder originally from New York on tape. The last series covered West Coast rap. However the South wasn't covered for some reason. I think @Lou_Cypher dropped em here a couple pages ago..

Currently sitting in Dubai airport on a 11 hour wait for a changeover (never doing this again) just done a double header of 'blue ruin' and 'green room', little kids walking past all the time and shit with my laptop in plain view lol surprised no parents have stepped to me yet.

Currently binge watching Law and Order SVU Season 12.....5 episodes that stand out are (most of the descriptions taken from IMDB):

"Reparations" with Terrance Howard - Casey Novak returns to the DA's office to prosecute a man accused of rape. However, Los Angeles ADA Jonah Dekker comes to New York City to serve for the defense as a favor to his family.

"Bombshell" with Rose McGowan - After the CEO of a weapons company is stabbed in the groin in a parking garage, Benson and Stabler are forced to go undercover to get information about the possible suspects.

"Bully" - A wine company person is murdered

"Dirty" - Benson reluctantly teams up with a tough detective from the Brooklyn DA's office when the latter's colleague is thrown off a roof following a violent attack.

"Bang" with John Stamos.....damn, John Stamos scumbag meter was on 1000 for this episode

Tried checking out "the end of malice" documentary on netflix. About rapper no malice from the clipse and his life moving towards Christianity after rap. I thought they would get a bit deeper into the history of the clipse but they barely do. Filmed super dramatically too. So dramatic that it seems corny. You get a little bit of good info but not a whole lot.

Pusha and malice have really funny speaking voices imo.

Damn good TV movie , LBJ was a funny muthafucka, Bryan Cranston channeled that walt white in the inner monologues ,Antothy Mackie also did a damn fine job as MLK.

One of the top 5 best movies of 2016, Southerners/Texans are something else.

Top notch performances of all from Jeff Daniels , Ben Foster and CHRIS Pines.

Grade: A

Plot: Nick Hume's (Kevin Bacon) son is killed in a gang initiation, so he takes matters into his own hands. The film then dissolves into a lot of gunfire in the tit for tat.

Tremendous work by Kevin Bacon, its a typical revenge story but some light twists are made on the genre. It had my full attention, shit got real but it was still a movie. Hard to believe a guy goes from not knowing how to shoot to being an expert marksman but plot dictates it.

Its certainly not a waste of time. I suggest watching it.

Grade: C

Not going to beat the film to death but not nearly enough Apocalypse for my taste and the confusing ending threw me off. Its a little long with not enough action also.

I grade these superhero films as films and not as adaptations of the comics, which makes watching them easier to manage. In any event this still isn't one of the better X films.
