a french movie, with Vincent Kassel as the beast(from Eastern Promises, Mesrine etc).

superb special effects, lil bit dark take on the fairytale. Vincent is a cursed king, living in a magical forrest lol, beautiful music, story was mad predictable obviously but its really all about the special effects and the tale of a couple lost souls.

Scarface .. twice under a week. What can I say that hasn't been said already? Pacino is a beast. You watch it everytime and you notice new shit; very subtle shit you ain't notice the last time (next day I jumped into Carlito's Way but didn't start it though)

The Counselor .. . I was watching this with a female and I dozed off. What a waste of acting and directorial talent. Lush photography too but a boring ass film

The Family .. . DeNiro and Michelle Phieffer star as a couple with 2 kids who migrate to France (countryside) to avoid their enemies in the States. It starts out as a comedy but gradually becomes very violent towards the end and it had Scorsese as Executive Producer so it was in good hands. Tommy lee Jones co-stars playing a Fed on DeNiro's tails ... .

Probably because the movie had a message about our government and portrayed blacks in a positive light. I'm not surprised but comingsoon.net gave it a 7/10. White people won't like this movie and if you watch it, you'll see why.

Don't agree with this at all, you think movies that cast our government in a bad light or have been pro-black haven't been certified fresh before??? Bruh 75% of movie critics are hard core liberals so they'd eat this shit up if it were actually good. Also whenever I see that one kid I can only think of him as pussy ass Matt Saracen from Friday Night Lights. Quit trying to throw Academy Awards on a basic ass straight to DVD level movie that piggybacked off it's original having Ethan Hawke and Lena Headley in it, therefore drumming up the buzz that made a low budget movie a surprise hit which in turn is why they fastracked a sequel.

Just saw an incredible anime movie called " The winds rise" from Akira, guy behind spirited away...

its about Jiro, an airplane engineer(based on a true story), plays before ww2....sets in Japan/Germany...

really exceptional drawing, a beautifully made movie, incredible soul/emotion in this flick....one of the best animes/movies Ive ever seen.
