Black widow starring debra winger and teresa Russell.

It came on tv the other night and i loved it. It came out in 1987 so i excused the hair and clothes and certain overly dramatic "Dallas" type scenes. Its about a woman who marries rich men and then kills them, collects their money , assumes a new identity in a new location and starts all over again. Then their is female statistician who is obsessed with her and is trying to prove she is a killer. Sounds corny but i enjoyed it. And Teresa Russell is so gorgeous to me in this movie, i had never heard of her before.

Saving Private Ryan

Came on last nite on TV and seeing it again after many years with full concentration, Spielberg went HAM

Incredible piece of filmmaking

That Awkward Moment - Wack...look up cliche'd and formulaic in the dictionary and you'll find this film. Didn't even have any funny parts so it really had no redeeming qualities.

breaking bad on Netflix. I never saw the show when it aired because I never had the time to and it looked like it wasn't my thing. but I heard the name so many times on forums and when the news was talking about the alternate ending finale and I learned that hal from Malcolm in the middle was the main character I had to see it. I had to see what the the hype was about it's a very dark show with a little comedy provided from characters like badger skinny pete huell and saul goodman but man it is a trip watching the downward spiral walter white goes through. I understand why he made his choice. it's sad to see the relationship between him and skylar turns into. smash on the principal of walters school btw.

Anyone watching Black Mirror?!?!?! Can't believe it took me this long to find out about it, maybe it's only a UK thing. Incredible show, each episode is like a high tech Twilight Zone, really great scenarios and some interesting social commentary. Highly recommended. About to start the second season.

The Heat. Expected a lot more because I remember a lot of hype being around this movie. Two mains were just doing to much. Ruined some of the funny stuff. I mean, Sandra Bullock is supposed to be the 'straight man' of the two whose job is her life, but everything she does is a contradiction to what the character is supposed to be. Don't expect the fbi to hand out fuckem dresses, but if youre supposed to be this hotshot fbi girl, then you can atleast observe the crowd and try to blend instead of wasting 10 minutes on that unfunny club/bathroom scene. Stuff like that, with her just being a idiot to squeeze out a bad joke. And the other chick.. Her partner is a big girl. Okay. House not all the clean. Gotcha. But does she have to be so damn disgusting that her roommate is a fucking month old cheese sandwhich? Tons of unnecessary cursing. Couldve toned them both down.

Next up, Desolation of Smaug.

You couldn't be more right about damn near everything you wrote. This movie was overhyped when it first came out and I don't see how or why it was. Bullock is annoying/unfunny and I don't find Mccarthy funny, in Bridesmaids or this. The overly confident, foul-mouthed, fat chick thing gets old really quick. The only funny parts of the movie involved her brothers.

Jurassic Park. Been years since I saw this. Still tense as hell. So many great scenes. Them raptors in the kitchen. Dumbass kid turning on that flashlight. Everything with the T-Rex. Swear I wouldve been following the lawyer. Everything about this was great. Especially Jeff Goldblum. Kinda salty they had a locker full of shotguns but didn't give Sam Jack one though. lol

We're The Millers. Really needed a shorter cut. No laugh out loud moments and they try to pick it up with wack Jennifer Aniston stripping that just don't work. Lot of stuff didn't work because I remembered the trailer and they gave away the better stuff in those.

Notting Hill. A little long, but I still thought it was great. Figured I couldn't go wrong with a Hugh Grant/Julia Roberts Rom/Com. Best scenes gotta be anytime the lead and his friends got together. All the self-ether. Did drag some for me with one or two of the music heavy moments.

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Went into this expecting the worse since I read/saw some reviews, but now I'm thinking maybe people just hold the book in too high a regard. Other than the dwarf/elf semi-romance slowing things down, I thought it was great. Elves with cheat codes gave everybody the business.

Star Wars: Clone Wars. Seasons 1 and 2. A lot better watching 3-4 episodes in one sitting. Bad characters/stories don't stand out so much to when it was a week to week thing. At its best when it stuck with the battles. Lot of dark stuff.

Transformers The Movie. Still great. Great soundtrack. Blew my kid brain to see all the dying.

Street Fighter. I don't know why I watched this.

Donnie Brasco. Like Johnny Depp a whole lot more when he's not claiming Tim Burton on his taxes.

Life Of Pi

On rental.

Technically, its amazing. And you share in the triumphs or suffering of the lead character as he sails the high seas (the CGI was incredible. Most of the scenes were shot in a gigantic water tank) ..

The opening sequence showing all those animals was dope. I think Ang Lee deserved his Oscar in direction.

films like this are how i diferentiate the mindset of an audience when it comes to watching whatever is put on a screen in front of them, from those who can understand the technicalities of a film to those who take it at face value for what it is.

watching the making of,i mean its literally that one character in a water tank interacting with basic objects around him and being asked to use his imagination to visualise everything thats going on....its pretty amazing how it all turned out considering (very similar to gravity in that sense.)

i'm about to go ham in this thread.

appreciated the message more than the film.none of the stories were really anything exceptional, the mexican babysitter one was just full of illogical decisions which made me chuckle.closing scene was kinda gorgeous.

Small town murder mystery done korean style.Really off kilter, didn't know why to think of it once i finished watching it and then i realised that its actually quite a smart film in the way that it presents the case to the viewer as something that you have to pay attention to yourself and pick up on the clues you may have not realised while you was watching it (even though it all gets resolved in the end) good little thinker of a film.

Rurouni_Kenshin_%282012_film%29_poster.jpg

based on a manga series.was really enjoyable, the action scenes were the highlight of the movie.if your into this sort of shit then its well worth checking out.

never heard of this before in my life.don't even know why it was even on my hard drive (might have been the wife's) that said this shit was trill.Elizabeth Shue was a dime back in her day (I WOULD TAKE THE PUSSY) and the lil girl obsessed with thor held down the team like a general.

dark, unsettling, twisty and by reading the theories online a shitload more complex than it presents its self.Best performance I've seen from Rourke personally and De Niro was great in a small role as well.you can tell these two were trying to out act each other in the scenes they are together.a bit draggy in places but i enjoyed it enough to pick it up on blu ray in the future.

monkey+king+3d+(2014).jpg

a work friend told me to watch it,i'm not a fan of these kind of old school dynasty/fantasy flcks but once i realised Donnie Yen was in it i decided to peep it.

never seen a film where the cgi goes from outstandingly bad to outstandingly good in a matter of seconds.the entire thing is like that and at times the cgi is so overloaded i had to pause it to take a breather my eyes were starting to strain.i'm sure this this is the same story as 'the forbidden kingdom' which was a heck of a lot better, although yen is great as the monkey king...really left field performance from what he usually does.

If Captain Phillips wasn't a big budget hollywood film then this would probably be what you get.although its unfair to compare it to that movie since the story is approached in a completely different way.this is more about the process of negotiation between the company who owns the freighter and the terrorists themselves.the fact they don't really concentrate on the hostages too much took away a lot of tension that cold have been built up....you sit there just watching a transaction going down for most of the film.

stark, tense and grim.america could do with more films like this...i can see this going on to become a cult classic, reminded me a lot of straw dogs and blue velvet not necessarily because of narrative but more the style (although i wouldn't quite class it in the same league as those films.)

refreshing to say the least.kind of film the Coens would have made back in the day.

Jackie Brown.

a tarantino flick Ive ignored. Had no idea the cast was that good, sam jackson was hilarious...and Pam grier was a fine female specimen, goodness.

Gave Aliens a watch. Prefer the first, but this one was great too. Love the head shaking moments. Leaving the back door open on a killer alien planet, putting your had in some alien spit and just walking it off like thats normal. Walking around with no gun. Not shooting that kid, or Paul Reiser soon as shit got hairy. Loved it. Made me pick up the tech manual book way back when. Might buy a reissue of it again and the franchise art book.

Excalibur. Another favorite. Probably the first sword and board movie I ever saw. Intro to the great Patrick Stewart and Helen Merrin. And the whole fantasy genre.

Couple more codes.

Oblivion. UniversalDigitalCopy.com -> L9Y43PWK6X7N

requiem for a dream. I saw this two night ago. I woke up in the middle of the night watched about 40 minutes and went back to bed. looked real interesting. i'll have to watch it again.

I watched American beauty for the first time about 2 days ago. But i caught it right when those 2 men came to the neighbor's door and the dad started going off to his son about gay people. Not sure if that was close to the beginning or what but felt like i missed alot. I'm gonna have to watch it again, plus my son was home and i kept having to turn during a couple scenes which threw me off. From what i saw it wasn't what i thought the movie was going to be. And mena suvari's character tripped me out, she reminded me of a lotta girls i went to school with. Im a Kevin spacey fan so i will watch this again undisturbed from the beginning.

You really have to to see how it does end ..

I like this film 'cos its a film you wanna watch solo and high (preferably) ..

You need to watch it to grasp underlying and subliminal themes within the screenplay ..
