Good flick I guess you can say its a story about relationships the pitfalls of relationships and sort of a coming of age for all characters so to speak

Watched Bad Words last night. It was mad funny to me. But it could leave you feeling some type of way cause some of the jokes are straight up racist and over the top abrasive. Jason Bateman did his thing. This will be a hit or miss for a lot of people. There's a perfect quality web rip online if you want to watch it.

couldn't sleep so i caught this random 80's movie at like 4am called Ms.45 about this meek white chick who gets raped twice in one day (lmao) so she starts blasting on every dude that tries to get at her from that point forward. it was one of those old school exploitation flicks so it wasn't serious & it was funny at some points. it was good for what it was. i give it a B-

Watched Wolf of Wall Street.

Rate it an 8/10. Funny over the top movie with far more slapstick than I was anticipating. Its one of those movies where you can either praise or criticize for showing the sheer mount of debauchery and sleaze that takes place on Wall Street. But given the lack of range, complexity, and emotional growth of Leo's character I can see why he didn't win Best Actor.

really good film.based around a foster care home, you can tell it's been made with some real care by the director who holds the subject matter close to his heart.only complaint would be that they could have focused on the kids a bit more but Brie Larson (#32 on my 'i'd fuck list') gives a great performance which elevates the film to something more.

starts off well and then just stay's at one pace throughout the entire thing till the point i kind of lost interest in what was going on..Sam Rockwell is one of those actors i'd watch in anything and he kept me in this otherwise i might have bailed at a certain point...the accents were hard as hell to understand in this film Jeffrey Wright especially.didn't have any ide what he was going on about the entire time.great atmosphere throughout,it captures the essence of the story it's telling quite well.....but i wouldn't recommend it.

weird...wonderful...i could go on about this movie.a suicidal man jumps off a bridge and ends up on an island from which he can't get off...so decides to stay....pretty much goes from there.

(GRADE = A) So I'm over a friends house and notice he has a DVD of "Dead Presidents". Haven't watched it in a while so I asked to borrow it watch it again. Well 19 years later I still feel the same way. This is a great movie. The Hughes Brothers directed this coming off "Menace II Society". It stars all star future list of up and coming black actors and veterans in Larenz Tate, Chris Tucker, Keith David, Bokeem Woodbine, Terrance Howard, Clifton Powell and N'bush Wright as well as Michael Imperioli and Martin Sheen. It's the story of New York friends who where black and Spanish and the effect of the Vietnam war after they came back. The Vietnam scene's were brutal. But the movie is really good and such a tragic story. I like how they kept it all the way real with that ending. So many quotables in this that many emcees have spoke on the movie in rhyme form. I would recommend this film to anyone. Amazing movie. The Heist at the end was just perfect, the suspense everything leading up to that. Also Chris Tucker IMO turns in the best performance of his career in this film. Also the Soundtrack was Classic, both volumes. The music was so good and brought you back to that time.

220px-The_Raid_2_Berandal_teaser_banner.jpeg

(GRADE = A) Two years ago I reviewed "The Raid: Redemption" and gave it an A. Well here in NYC there has been a limited release of "The Raid 2: Berandal (Thugs)" . Gareth Evans returns to direct and up and coming martial arts star Iko Uwais is back. Taking place just some short days after the original film. Rama who just had a new born son is told though he took down one of the bosses in the 1st film, the chain goes higher so he wants him to go undercover and get in with one of Big Boss's Son. Rama agrees but it requires him to go to Prison and the movie takes off from there as he finds himself in the middle of a crime boss war between families. Amazing sequel, there is way more story to this one and the stakes are higher. All the Action Scenes are GOAT STATUS. I mean There was a Train Scene with Hammer Girl. Then Bat Boy and Hammer Girl Vs Iko was hard. Iko fighting in the Kitchen as well as the Prison Riot and Mud Fight. There was just so many jaw dropping action scenes. I watched the film subtitled cause it's not an American Film. I don't expect it to be dubbed. I was able to read and follow along just fine. But I loved this sequel, one of the best action and martial arts films i've ever seen. This kid is next in line. Seriously.

Just saw the secret life of walter mitty

basically its about a dreamer starting to dream less and do/live in the moment.

has some hilarious and beautiful scenes. One of the best movies Ive seen in a while actually.

Watched Bad Words with Jason Bateman and Kathryn Hahn. Definitely had it's hilarious moments only two complaints were how fast Guy and the Indian boy became friends felt way rushed and I figured out the "twist" about 30 minutes in.

Also just watched In A World, the drama/comedy about the voiceover industry with Lake Bell, Nick Offerman, Eva Longoria (as herself), Rob Cordrry, and a cameo from Geena Davis as a ruthless bitch. Good movie, give it a watch.

Also a few I watched a month or so ago but haven't mentioned:

Delivery Man - Hated it and I'm a huge Vince Vaughn fan and even enjoyed some of his poorer reviewed films. Expected more especially with Vaughn and Chris Pratt who I usually find to be funny in it together.

Ain't Them Bodies Saints - I get the noir vibe they were going for but just wasn't feeling what the hype was all about and I usually enjoy Casey Affleck and Ben Foster's work. Really bland to me. Rooney Mara is in it also.

The Spectacular Now - Great coming of age movie based on the book with Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley in it. Check it out.

Kick-Ass 2 - Don't get what the hate was about, liked it just as much as the original.

Escape Plan - 7/10. Action is my least favorite genre but I have to say this was actually quite decent. It's one of those "smart" action films which involve intricate plots and plans that keep you guessing. I love that in a film. Very enjoyable from start to finish. Planning on a rewatch soon.

Wolf of Wall Street - 8/10. Lots of tits and ass. It's a great film. But a big HOWEVER: it's only a good film for Martin Scorsese. Either way, I've watched it twice already (if only for Matthew McConaughey's monologue alone). I really enjoyed. Jonah Hill is amazing, Leo is amazing as usual, I can't say enough good things about it. But Martin has set the bar really high for himself, it's hard to top his past work. Still I highly recommend it.

Paranormal Activity 5 - 5.5/10. I really enjoyed the first two, the rest sucked. I only went to this one because my kid wanted to see it on her birthday. And surprisingly it wasn't all that bad. It wasn't great, but a definite improvement from the last two installments. It's more of a guy movie than any of the others by the way. Without going into detail alot of things in this film could just as well have been in an action movie. Not my cup of tea but it wasn't awful. @Black_Samson‌
