Saw the trailer for the new Jack Ryan movie. It's been awhile but I thought Clark and Dominguez(?) were the field guys in those books.
Creator. Had some okay comedy when O'Toole would cut down the other teachers, but it jumped around too much for me with the time skips.
Starbuck. A lot better than I expected. Summary made it sound like it was gonna be over the top and just plain goofy. Guy finds out he has around 550 kids because of a lazy sperm bank. A feel-good so he turns his life around. Doesn't want to meet them at the start so he plays the kind-hearted stranger. Movie was great while he was doing that. Not so good when they toss in the 500+ other extras or the hadicapped kid though. Lawyer was jokes. Good watch.
Populaire. Romantic/Comedy. Guy falls for his secretary while he trains her for typing competitions. Had some funny moments, and Déborah François does look good, but just way too much typing for me to stay interested. Long training montages where you'd think they'd start fucking with the looks they were thowing around, but didn't. Wasn't all that convincing when the leads got together either. Supposed to believe the guy is decent but every time he gets around his war buddies wife, he's practically smacking her in the face with his dick. Might as well have had one of her kids walk in on them, like that Bastard Out of Carolina eating out in the kitchen scene.
Papadopoulos & Sons. Way too lighthearted of a comedy. Should've left the brother out altogether. Only watched it because Stannis was in it. smh. Probably be akward to see anybody from Game of Thrones in a comedy. Shouldve been darker. Just make it about a rich family losing everything. Cut out the loud ass brother. The dancing. The turks. All the garbage. Maybe make the youngest kid a little less weird.
The Day I Saw Your Heart. The dad was funny as hell in this. The best one I saw over the past two or three weeks.
The Last Tycoon. Couldve gone without knowing what Sammo Hung looks like sitting naked in a bathtub. Didn't really need as much Yun Fat as they had in this if he was going to be so boring. Was a lot better seeing the rise of his character. Whole last half had me nodding off. Slo-mo gun fights against guys that went to the stormtrooper school of shooting. Dumbass villains jumping through 20-foot windows and getting glass in their eyes while there's a big ass church door they couldve walked through. Something to skip through if you just want to watch the action. Didn't really give a shit about the wwii setting.
