Saw TAKEN 2 today... It was cool the original was better tho

Taken2.6.jpg

"Taken 2" GRADE (B- ) 1st "Taken" was the surprise hit film from 2008 that took everyone by surprise from critics to fans when Liam Nesson went from seasoned actor to Bad Ass action hero. That film saw him take down a sex organization to save his daughter. Well "Taken 2" starts with the family of the people he killed vowing revenge. Fast Fwd 1 year later. Liam is still very paranoid about his daughter safety. He checks up on her weekly. His X-wife is now having problems with her new husband that she going through a separation with. Liam then invites her and her daughter to Istanbul with him after he finishes a security job there. She tells him she'll let him know. So they surprise him and show up only to find out the bad guys are in town also. Him and his wife are taken and his daughter is on the run. I though it was a solid sequel. They didn't change the formula. Liam kicks some major ass again but this time the daughter gets in on the action. The Bad guys were a little weak but the movie was pretty good. If they do a "Taken 3" no more taking of his family. They need to have Him and his old team come out of retirement to save someone. But overall I think it's going to be another hit, the movie will connect with audiences. What makes the "Taken" Series work is Liam Character is extremely skilled and smart and the movies highlight that. I wish he would make it a TV show, I think it could do very well. I did enjoy it. Liam has taken over Harrison Ford role as the seasoned Action Hero. So not better than "Taken 1" but still a pretty good sequel.

I remember i took my girlfriend to see Irreversible in the theatre, that shit was hilarious. she tried to get up and walk out like 'this is disgusting' and i grabbed her upper arm all serious like 'you better not'.. she sat down all scared and was shook up the rest of the night. I could have busted out laughing how scared she was just being a female after that movie

i watched that Prometheus. thought it was dope, they need to make a sequel.

Bourne Legacy - 6/10 I fell asleep on a few parts of it. May have been a good idea to have a refresher viewing of the 3 Bourne installments before I saw Legacy, but whatever. It was ok.... nothing I'd watch again.

The Possession - 6.5/10 A cream puff version of The Exorcist, but definitely had its creepy moments. Nothing that will still be talked about this time next year, but better than most horror movies produced nowadays. I consider my money well spent.

Lawless- 8/10. Loved it! Storyline is slow and steady; not the usual case of peaks and valleys when dealing with "shootout movies". Tension steadily escalates which I appreciated. I now have a huge crush on Tom Hardy. And I'm nominating Guy Pearce for best villain of 2012. He was outstanding. Wouldn't be surpised if he got an Oscar nom.

@Iheart~Cali,The Possession wasn't good ? Did you know that it's based on a true story ? It's about this thing called

a Dibbuk Box that's supposed to have an evil spirit in it,everybody who comes in contact with it negative shit

happens to them.

"Looper" (Grade A) WOW, movie was off the chain. Sci-Fi is making a huge comeback in the last 2 years and this movie will be up with the best of them. Joseph Gordan Levitt plays a Mob Hitman who kills targets sent back from the future to be eliminated. They are called Loopers. Well when it's time for a looper to get fired, The Mobb boss of the future sends his future self back to get killed. Well when Joe see himself from the future played by Bruce Willis, he gets away and that leads the movie on so many twist and turns you will be not believe how it ends. The movie was great and the trailer did not tell the full story of what the movie was about. But it was really good. Good action, nice plot and great characters. Bruce did a great job too. I'm going to do a thread about it. But check it out. The critics are not fronting, it was really good and will have your head spinning.

I didn't think it was that good. not bad, but the ending was definitely "uhh...thats it?" if it had some more to it then it could've been better

followed up a viewing of Prometheus with Alien and Aliens back to back.

Alien: holds up amazingly well and much better than I remember it.

Aliens: not as good as I remember, kinda dated. it's got some slow parts and some cheesy parts. still a great movie but I think in the long haul Alien is better

I came across the full movie on youtube, and since it was a classic I never seen I watched it. some guy drives around a truck driver, which pisses the truck driver off for some reason and he decides to kill the car driver, chasing him the entire movie until the car driver forces him off a cliff. we never see the truck driver, and the truck is mysteriously fast. 8/10
