Total Recall (2012)

I give it a 7 out of 10. Not sure whether I like the fact that the plot was Earth based and nothing Mars related and it was kinda frustrating when you could basically predict every scene, they followed the previous script almost to a tee minus a few changes. Overall, great action and the chick from Underworld did a good job as the villain.

Weird ass film with a weird ass performance from Phoenix and a masterful (no pun) performance from Seymour Hoffman

Fine period drama and fine cinematography but not as good as his (Thomas Anderson) previous film, There Will Be Blood ...

Three short films shot in 1989 by Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola and Woody Allen ...

I enjoyed Allen's piece more. A nice treat

SKYFALL (B - ) Sorry it was a little over-hyped. 1st the movie technically was great. The Director Sam Menedes of "American Beauty and Road to Perdition" is a good director no doubt. It was well acted for sure. The Problem I had was the story was very cliche. It was the typical "Revenge" story that has been done over and over again. The Villain was underused as well as the "Bond" girls. The Ending was very anti-climatic. It was a little too dramatic so the action wasn't there and spots. Also Bond didn't use enough gadgets. The movie also bit The Dark Knight in spots. Overall My grade is more for the technical side but the movie itself didn't "Wow" me like all the critics said it would.

Killer Joe...now, this movie...was just completely fucked up on so many levels..the ending OMG...I feel like I'm scarred after watching that movie...I dunno...it was alright but wow...I just don't know

Not necessarily what i was expecting from this film. A lot a political and economical undertones. The setting of the film was during the 2008 elections. Obama can be seen and heard repetitively throughout the movie giving speeches and his cliche quotes. The dialogue in the movie was EXCELLENT and is what really made the movie. Characters were pretty great and the acting was top notch. Brad Pitt played the role of the non emotional hitman pretty damn while also being his usual witty self.

GRADE (B +) I have to say, I enjoyed this movie very much. The only thing I didn't like was how the camera were on them, I just didn't think that was realistic. But it made you feel like you were watching a reality show of Cops live. They both had great chemistry, you really felt their friendship. The director wrote "Training Day" so he just knows how to do Cop stories. The ending even though you kinda saw it coming will still hit your emotions. Overall It was dope flick. I'm not shocked it flopped cause I don't see how it was going to connect with a huge audience but the movie is worth it.
