If I was going to sum up why I love this hiphop music and culture that song would explain it for me...

Lyrics, beats, storytelling, emotion:

Naughty By Nature - Hip Hop Hooray

Notorious BIG - Juicy

Ice Cube - It was a good day

Jay Z - Big Pimpin

Lil Wayne - A Millie

B.G. - Bling Bling

It's one of the best records of this new era in hip hop.. That song will still be hot in 10 years..

The greatest? Wow,, tough one... There is no way I can pick just one. The Message (GMFAFF), So Many Tears (Pac), Mind Playin Tricks on Me (Geto Boyz) and I Use To Love Her (Common Sense). These are the greatest IMO.

I gotta go with

The Roots - "Thought @ Work"

There's a crazy, looped break beat. There's some scratching on there and Black Thought is spittin hard as hell.
