Were gangsters really dressing up like that back in the 70s though? Like in the warriors? Gang life was kind of embarassing back then. I mean it still somewhat is, but way more embarassing back then lol.

Watch documentaries yeah they dressed like that there's a movie on Netflix calls the warriors(rockstar also made a game based on this movie) that put a fictional spin on what we york though gangs were like in the 70's. There's also a Netflix documentary in new York hip hop fashion that has a segment on 70s gangs.

Them showing the transition people made between disco music to hip hop is great. Especially seeing the difference between what Ezekiel is doing vs what Maylene is doing. Seeing so many people confused as to why djs were starting to chop up records like they were is an important part of this series

loved it.. dead at the one DJ making Jackie eat her pussy .. "i'll go to the cops.. that was practically RAPE!"

just realized Kevin Corrigan plays a scumbag in every role..... and its a perfect role for him everytime

Great show...

But I wonder how many fans gonna turn their backs on this show once they start developing the graffiti artist story.

and show that he is gay and dies cuz of aids/hiv

This show is using foreshadowing techninque

1)The way he looks at Thor before getting out of the train

2)Going to the gay club/party and not feeling uncomfortable and actually being intrigued by the whole vogue scene

There is no way a great show that uses real events as backdrop mixed into the story won't touch the aids/hiv epidemic of the late 70's 80's.

Netflix has another great show here.
