Its a shame this show hasnt taken off. I know it's only been a month and it takes time for shows (especially on streaming sites) to blow, but not too many people are talking about it and I only know one other person that's watched it. I wasnt expecting it to blow like "Stranger Things" cause it's not an almost entirely white cast (it's the opposite) and doesnt have as broad of an appeal, but I thought it'd be doing a little better.

They BETTER renew this shit for a second season or at least have some closure with the next 6 episodes. Im too invested.

u may have to diversify ur circle...cuz EVERYONE i know has seen this ....and im talking ppl who couldnt tell you the difference between Grandmaster Flash and Flash the Superhero have seen it and are raving about it

That's a good look, but I've been constantly putting people up on this show the last week, many who got Netflix.

I don't know the stream count, but I was looking on IMDB and Stranger Things has over 163,000 votes and The Get Down only has 8,000. From my experience, IMDB users are vastly white but I was expecting a little more.

Nah, that article title is misleading. It just states WHY it might get cancelled (High production cost and low ratings compared to other Netflix shows)

Damn it was given a budget of 10 million an episode. I didn't think it'd cost that much. They can't cancel this though. This show is amazing and this is a story that needs to finish. I will stream this every day if I have to.
