Look at the Bears with Cutler.... Remember Hesters 1st starting game as a receiver when Grossman threw him 2 of the easiest Touchdown passes and Hester let the passes fall right between his hands... Do u think Cutler sucks when his receivers trip over their own feet causing an int.... Grossman kept going through that over and over... Grossman literally might be a real solid QB if u study game tape the guy has a quick release and can fit passes into tight spaces... Bears need Receivers...
co-sign. Rexman unjustly took a lot of shit while the piss poor recievers got a pass. he showed sparks of potential but then was failed by coaching, play-calling, and above all else bad recievers time and time again..
have a look at this pass from Grossman:

not bad eh? perfectly placed downfield.
now Cutler has crazy potential but was given a converted DB as a number 1 with a bunch of 3rd string rookies for a recieving core.. he had no choice but to improvise and look what happened, the Tight End has to step up and becomes the number 1 in receptions for the Bears and towards the end of the season Cutler was giving anyone a chance like Aromashadu because no one else was cuttin it. not a good look. not to mention piss poor coaching and play-calling again - and of course a terrible offensive line.
anyway, don't mean to derail the thread. just making the point that you should be careful to fall into the trap that a great QB can win without great tools around him - it just doesn't happen and McNabb was a perfect example. easily one of the top 3 players of all time in that sorry franchise's history and everyone around him gets a pass for losing games besides him. it's the nature of the game that everyone will look to the QB when a team loses but that's just ignorant. McNabb stays getting shit on, hopefully he'll tear some shit up in Washington, i look forward to watching the Eagles get beat down next year, i'll be rooting against them that's for sure.
