The difference between a "Legend" and a "Veteran"

*ignores genocide*

Listen people, there's nothing wrong with being a vet. Vets are respected just as much if not more than (some) legends because they've put in work and earned their respect. I wouldn't consider Biggie a vet because he only made it to his sophmore album, but I won't deny that he's a legend.

I hope you realize all those reports you keep sending go straight to Jamacia's personal e-mail. Don't be surprised if he just bans you indefinitely.

Where in the definition of legend is the word innovator? These are 2 different arguements you're making. So you're either trolling or over-thinking it.

I'm definitely not trolling. What I'm saying is that... based on the responses in this thread... if Nas is a legend for anything, it's his ability to influence greatness in others. I'm cool with that.

Yeah those are all veterans, and actually Camron inspired this thread in the first place. Mase is a veteran as well. Prove to me that Nas is a legend, cause I don't see where in his career he solidified himself in legendary status besides what might be a legendary battle (just because it didn't result in black men being killed).

nas dropped arguably the most influential album in hip hop, an album that influenced so many different rappers style including hova. he has been one of the few to have remained relevant for years and still sell records without doing doing things to fit in with the young crowd. he has arguably the best catalog in hip hop history, tons of classic songs and albums.

So we're in agreement that Nas is a legend? Based on the dictionary definition of the word?

d : a person or thing that inspires legends

That's a valid argument.

sidenote: why is "that guy" doing "that thing" in this thread? Do you mods ever tire of his antics?

LOL that was your goal? To convince me that he's a legend? Cause if so, yes, I am convinced. Congratulations.
