haha i always said the same thing. Im from Queens. Now i live in NC. i just cross the damn street...screw a crosswalk button..and screw the actual place to cross...no cars coming im crossing whether it is on the corner or down the middle of the street.

Lol, I never thought that button actually worked. I always felt that its just a box with a button with no circuitry attached. It has more a placebo effect than anything. I cross when clear, fuck a light or crosswalk.

That button never worked, so fuck it, I just jaywalk when the street is clear......

Jaywalking is a NYC thing.

I was surprise how jaywalking was the norm in NYC.

Maybe because there are so many people walking in NYC.
