Here's the chronology of LL's battles;

1. 1985. LL records "I Can't Live Without My Radio" which is on the Krush Groove Soundtrack and appeared on his first album. Steady B responds with "I'll Take Your Radio". But LL never responded back to Steady B.

2. 1985/86. LL makes "Dear Yvette" on his first album. Yvette Money responded with "E-Vette’s Revenge". Tic and Toc also responded with "Hey Jay (Is It True What They Say)". LL didn't respond to either song.

3. 1985/86. Marley Marl releases the classic "Marley Scratch" feat MC Shan. Later that year LL Cool J releases the Original Version of "Rock the Bells" which has a very similar beat to "Marley Scratch". In the summer of 86 MC Shan released "Beat Biter" accusing of LL Cool J of stealing his beat. LL responded with a subliminal shot on his second album called "The Breakthrough" but didn't mention MC Shan by name.

4. 1987. Kool Moe Dee releases "How Do Ya Like Me Now" which throws a subliminal at LL. LL responds with Jack the Ripper.

5. 1988. Ice T disses LL Cool J on "I'm Your Pusher".

6. 1988. MC Hammer throws a subliminal at LL on "Let's Get it Started"

7. 1988. Kool Moe Dee responds to "Jack the Ripper" with "Lets Go" thus escalating the battle.

8. 1990. LL responds to Kool Moe Dee, MC Hammer and Ice T all in one track called "To the Break of Dawn"

8. 1997/98. Canibus disses LL Cool J with "2nd Round KO". LL responds with The Ripper Strikes Back which mentions WyCleff.

9. 1998. WyCleff responds to the "Ripper Strikes Back" with "What's Clef Got to Do With It". LL Responds to WyCleff with "Rasta Imposter"

10. 1999. LL makes a second diss to Canibus called "Back Where I Belong" feat Ja Rule.

11. 1999/2000. Canibus responds with "Rip the Jacker" which was self ether and effectively ended his own career.

In the other thread "Why is LL never mentioned in Top/DOA Lists" people seem to think that LL isn't lyrical or can't hold his own on the mic. Nonsense. LL is battle tested. He should be in everybody's top 10 just by his battle record alone.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Don't forget that Roxanne Shante dissed LL as well on her record "Bite This", circa 85 but he snapped on her & MC Shan all in One take on the Breakthrough, L was genius in not mentioning opponets by name...remember the battle between he & Shan was epic before Krs-One & Kool Moe Dee interfered.

Never knew krs got involved

LL got some dope bars. I remember vividly when he said

"R.I.P. Robert E. Lee" or the classic line "If you don't judge my durag, i won't judge your flag"

Let me find out LL was pulling a Drake by not responding earlier in his career

Yeah but LL was on Def Jam, which was owned by Columbia at the time. All these other cats that were dissing him were on independent labels.

Cool J's the drake prototype, except he can actually beat someone's ass instead of hiding behind a bodyguard

he's cool, but not top 20, probably top 50 tho

He dissed Jay Z on Phenomenom, 4321 and zoom and also he was dissing Pac on I shot ya

L was dissing Canibus on "4321" and this was after he heard Canibus's original verse.

And LL was dissing Biggie on "I Shot Ya" (it was a response to "Who Shot Ya") - Pac just took it as a diss.

1999/2000. Canibus responds with "Rip the Jacker" which was self ether and effectively ended his own career.

Da fuck you get that from?! Rip the Jacker wasn't self-ether, you sound like a groupie, L's couldn't even come up with a response, because that shit burned his soul, FOH with that shit L's always been a bitch stop comparing him to real MCs
