yo KOP give us the break down of what you went through to get back in shape

and what tryouts were like

Actually it was pretty hard cuz' i was about 210 - 215 , i looked like i played football so i wasnt fat or nothing, but being a Shortstop i couldnt carry that weight and still get to certain balls hit away left or right , and my hip rotation as a hitter was gonna be stiff, i ended up getting sick for a while and that dropped me down to 200 , once i recovered i started jogging cuz i knew it was gonna take a long time, i did whatever i could for the first two weeks i didnt push it hard, then i changed how i eat which sucks cuz i like to eat what i want whenever i want but i started eating a bunch of healthy food and stopped drinking sodas, and then i moved on to pushing myself hard doing a bunch of sprints, jump rope, explosion drills, quick feet drills, like a bunch of stuff, it took me a real long time , so eventually i ended up at 180 , which is what i wanna be at for my position at shortstop, i say what really sucked the most was changing completely how i eat and what i drinked.

so now i take a ton of groundballs as well, and squat like drills to get my legs under me , and i still run a lot , and do two a days with hitting , but it took a long long time to get in shape...

and the try-outs werent nothing major i went in with Low expectations cuz i just wanted to see what would happen, if i didnt get picked up i wasnt gonna be upset cuz i knew it had been a while , somethin just told me to go cuz i found out about the workout probably 7 days before it took place, there were only a total of 15 players there which was kinda surprising , 10 position players and 5 pitchers, we Ran 60's , then threw from our positions , then hit on the field then that was it ....

then about 2 weeks later i got a call, what helped was i already had some type of accolades from both High School and College, cuz realistically you cant just judge someone off a 1 day workout.

so im'a gonna give it my best to try to make the best out of it, thats all i really can do, im excited about it but at the same time just a little nervous cuz it's been a few years since being on a actual team, and actual team practices, live pitching, and just all the stuff that comes with it.

baseball aint really something you can improve on alone. so do you have members of your posse hitting you grounders and another covering first base? do you have a guy to pitch to you or you hit strictly off the machine? or do you have like an actual trainer thats helping you?

Wow b you went in. From 210+ to 180 thats quality. How many weeks were you training for?

And yeah I def think you having strong high school credibility helped out big time. I take it you've met all the other players on the squad? What're they like?

i Run on my Own, i have someone that i workout with as far as Hitting, and Groundballs i just call up my pops and i try to get to 100 groundballs, i only count the good ones tho, if i bobble it or misplay it i dont count it , i just count the ones i fielded cleanly until i get to 100 .

im'a start facing some live pitching within a week or so , i linked up with someone, cuz hitting in the cages with someone aint the same, your reaction time is much different , and live pitching with more velocity will show u if your swing is too long and if your actually sitting back on the ball....too much cage work can kind of fool you.

and Lol at "Posse"

yea the weight lost was hard, i say i started real slow it actually took me a few months , cuz if u lose too much too fast its not good for you, so i aimed for a certain weight by the week, getting sick knocked me down to 200, but after that i was 200 i would try to be around 197 at the end of the week, and so on and so on...i actually got stuck at 190 for probably 2 weeks lol, but i just kept workin then i made it to 180 , now i gotta make sure i dont get too weak , i dont wanna weigh too much but i dont wanna lose too much either.
