the underlined is true. but his mixtapes are him going back to the essence of what made people like him in the first. i felt 50 should make more mature sounding music like this.

instead of collabos with soulja boy

If 50' makes this type of music you just posted he is going to ailienate his Shady/Aftermath fans, and Jimmy aint gonna let that happen.

The Souljah boy disaster was just 50 trying to tap into the youth demographic because they aint feeling his music they love Weezy and everything related to Weezy.

That Soulfull R&B rap is not gonna sell unless its the old Kanye.

I keep my eyes on the trends and trust me B.O.B, Bruno, Cudi, Drake, Lupe, & Wiz is the new musical direction, aint nobody moving units so you best believe they gonna want a radio-hit on the charts or a pop-duet before they green-light a project.

Thats why Jeezy cant get a date, its too much at stake in this climate. 50 has an ego he'd rather retire than flop or go out in a blaze of glory by dissing Emenim.

at this point he might as well make more mature sounding music, most of the eminem fans done already stopped supporting him, and i'm sure his sales would be around the same regardless.

he can do collabos with younger artists but be like jay z and be selective with which youngsters to work with, and if he wanted to tap into that audience then soulja boy was the wrong choice.

You could/should have posted excerpts from this article to prove a point, and stir up some good discussion...

you know what I did but then the IC logged me out for some reason and I lost it all!

Basically the way I see it is 50's underlying agenda was to see the dissolvement of Murder Inc and Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff. If you believe the rumors about Supreme's involvement with 50's mother plus being behind his infamous shooting, then it makes sense.

And what better way to stop the money laundering then to stop the cashcow and figurehead which is Ja Rule.

Ja Rule's biggest mistake was trying to go to war with everyone and not having the ammunition or manpower. 1) He ain't no street battle rapper, so his portrayal of one was transparent. 2) No rapper was on his side @ the time. 50 had Dre, Em, d12, G-Unit, Obie etc from that camp who were all selling units and riding with him. Add the likes of DMX, Busta & even Common (lol) - Ja Rule never stood a chance. This is from a music perspective.

Going back to Murder Inc, having to rebrand themselves in 2003/2004 to shake off the negativity also had an effect. 50 had just dropped one of the highest anticipated albums (GWODT) earlier that yr so the momentum was with him and not with those opposing him. It was almost like the changing of the guard you could say, as 50 would later go on to do the same music formula that Ja did.

Overall tho Ja Rule's career ended because of Ja Rule pure and simple.

Beefing with everyone and not making consistent hits = L.

But at the same time to say 50 and the G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath army behind him didn't have an impact in Ja's demise is foolish.

GEE already exposed that.

Jamacia/SionB/HLF are Hot Rod/Tony Yayo/Proof

They have a monopoly on this board and they wont deny that they use aliases to promote their agenda.

Jamacia said he wanted GEE banned and then sent him a love-letter, HLF trolls other posters, SionB is pretty fair but he wont expose his brothers in crime.... Ruff-Draft is an honest and pious man. I wish Fazeem was a Mod because he has the resume & pedigree more than anyone else.

If the 50Cent stans are willing to accept the Myth that 50 destroyed Ja Rules career then they need to explain who destroyed 50cents career.

its crazy how niggas forgot ja rule dissed busta rhymes too at the time not only 50,em, and dre. his career went down hill after that.................

I didn't forget. Busta had the best verse in the whole beef. 50, Em, & D12 all had moot disses which meant nothing.

50 Did NOT end Ja's career...by himself....Its very well known that Ja's downfall was going at Em and Dre as well...that spiraled into D-12, Busta,Dmx, all of G-unit going at him and taring him down...Ja didnt have a strong enough camp to go at shady/aftermath

i know 50 regressed as an artist and his albums sounded like worst versions of get rich or die trying, but at least 50 was smart enough to not totally alienate his core fans. he still dropped mixtapes putting out grimy songs, he still put hard joints on his albums while still catering to the mainstream.

Another common misconception

People spent so much time talking about Candy Shop, they didnt actually listen to The Massacre and decide for there self
