i thought you caught one in the head
that first dude that got shot in a driveby was probably pissed but still had to give it up like goddamn that was innovative
Nah, not me, thankfully. They wild, I go about my business and stay out the way
I'mma need Tim Anderson to start playing like he's worth that new money, batting average at the Mendoza Line and lackadaisical plays can't keep happening from a supposed franchise cornerstone, and for Carlos Rodon to stay healthy
I think Aaron Judge might be my new favorite power hitter at the moment
Rondon just gave up a 2-0 lead with 2 outs on a 3 run HR to Brett fuckin' Gardener

among the 24 major league qualifying shortstops tim anderson fielding percentage ranks dead last and his BA/OBP/SLG somewhere in the 20s
if he hadnt just been inked to a long term deal id suggest he needs a trip to charlotte to work on his game
but now i dont know

Happ can play multiple positions, switch hit and has a good eye he would fit in seamlessly in the line up and he can lead off.Happ can replace zobrist who will be 36 in few weeks and needs more rest and will play less eventually.I heard happ was damn near untouchable he's valued like schwarber was.

too bad zobrist isnt a FA after this year
happ could step right into the switch hitting super sub role but with zobrist on the roster for 2 more years after this one and with happ looking to be possibly big league ready sometime this summer some in the organization might think it he makes more sense as a premium trade chip
cubs are already sitting one or two guys that need playing time to develop (baize, almora) or established veterans (heyward, zobrist) every day so theres not much room to add another player into that mix and for developmental purposes youre not calling up hap to start twice a week
teams will definitely be targeting him
Ben Zobrist has two more years left after this one, and he’s coming off winning the World Series MVP. While the Cubs would unlikely have a starting role for Happ, they didn’t have one for Baez either. If the Cubs went the route of replacing La Stella and Szczur, Happ could bide his time until Zobrist’s deal is up. Some might say if he’s not getting everyday at-bats it isn’t worth calling him up. But by September of this year, Happ should have accrued quite a few Triple-A at-bats.Should the Cubs choose to call him up for a stretch run, he could be a valuable bench player for this team. And there’s plenty of worth in a solid bench player. The Cubs could still part with talent to acquire pitching at the deadline, but that trade shouldn’t involve Happ. He needs to get his shot in Chicago.

Sczur got dfa and la stella in triple a,happ can take either one of their spots and move around like baez does.Zobrist can be traded in the last year of his contract.
Cubs can trade jimenez & canderlario for that cost controlled starter + they will have dough to spend on pitching this winter(pipe dream darvish and otani).Their pitching prospects(cease,de la cruz, clifton, maybe albertos) should be ready by 2019.I wouldn't trade happ
