White sox better hope quintana don't get injured or has a bad season on some sonny gray tip

bruce levine said the astros, cards, pirates and yankees all involved in trade talks.I'd take the best offer right now

Glad baseball is starting back up. Don't believe the Braves are a playoff team yet, but I do think we improve from last year and finish with a .500 record or close to it. I think Dansby will shine, batting 300 all year and playing great defense. Freeman will be Freeman, and I hope we can atleast get 25+ hr's from Kemp. Got tickets to the home opener at the new stadium. I can't wait

lol

i think the standings at the top of the NL are going to look similar to what they did at the end of '16 with the same three division winners

the giants in the WC

the mets and cardinals slugging it out for the last WC spot

and the pirates just barely out of contention (unless they make a move for quintana)

i think the AL has three clear divisional favorites in the red sox, indians and astros and then probably 8 teams that could make the two WC spots

the AL has much more of a middle class than the NL does

i think the brewers could have a historically bad offense this year (especially after the inevitable braun trade)

im sick of other teams talking about untouchable prospects when a cost controlled arm is the target -- quinatana been the 7th best pitcher in baseball over the past 4 seasons -- if a 19 year old prospect is untouchable in a season in which youre trying to win now maybe you shouldnt be trying to win now -- i wouldnt settle for what other teams WANT to give the white sox though

quintana is as safe as they come

id hold him off until the deadline since hope springs eternal

this was a good read

great insight

avi garcia made himself look like an idiot on a deep fly to right the other day

instead of working out to jack lalanne videos he should have been doing outfield drills

i guess in a rebuild what he does ultimately wont matter but he is so frustrating

he should be better

i look back at how excited i was about the white sox acquiring him

smh

if i ever needed a memory erasing moment

Hahn basically said they had a couple deals fall through at the last second.Other teams owners nixed 2 deals(robertson and quintana trades)

I read this a few days ago.definitely a good read

im convinced quintana is one of those pitchers who thrives with his back against the wall

his best starts generally seem to be when he doesnt get run support -- i cant think of too many games (not that hes had many) where hes gotten a lot of run support and pitched well -- to me he just seems to be at his best when he has to pitch flawlessly in order to have a chance to win

so im not worried about his trade value going down

hes not the smoke and mirrors shelby miller was

millers peripheral numbers always told a different story than what his era did

wonder if this means theyll be making another push for quintana now if he needs surgery

I WANT EVERYTHING THAT STARTS WITH THE LETTER B + DEVERS

price gets so much regard for his low impact easy delivery and being able to put up a ton of innings

to the point that a new rule was put in place because of his deceptive delivery

damn

no one safe

How long before the Dodgers trade for Price and bail out the Red Sox again? Lol

Please do, I'm not going to lie I don't feel a certain way about losing Price like I would if it was Sale or Porcello, there's something mentally unfixable with that dude and although most people believe he was bound to have a better year I have zero faith in him pitching up to that contract ever especially in the playoffs, I have faith in ERod taking it to another level and if Wright and/or Pomeranz can put together a solid season which they are both capable of doing we'll be straight, I would wait to see how things play out and not pull a desperation move if I'm Dombrowski, we'll be alright without that twitter geek

There was fear this week that Red Sox left-hander David Price would need elbow surgery, but those worries were put to rest Friday. It turns out that elbow experts Dr. James Andrews and Dr. Neal ElAttrache diagnosed Price with a mild flexor strain and some bone spurs, industry sources told Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe.

damn

a visit to dr james andrews never ends well

we will see though

because i remember kyrie met james andrews during the hawks series

a couple of games later he busts his kneecap

ronald acuna

braves recently turned 19 year old prospect was supposed to come up and play one game last weekend as a replacement yet he is still with the big team camp

hes hitting like .540

hes currently the braves 15th or so prospect (he had an injury plagued season in which he still batted over .300 last year) but this kid will be a top 10 prospect in baseball after this year and will be on the big club next year at some point

almost guaranteed to be the starting rf after markakis is gone
