yeah dombrowski just dont want to seem desperate

if they dont want to give up moncada then thats what they should ask for though unless they want to be the team that gives nova 4 years at $50 to $60 million total

im thinking the yankees will end up with quintana

they need 2 real good starters and it would be foolish to give up all your top prospects just for 1 guy

quintana would be a bit cheaper

1 guy the white sox would want would be torres

he could be their 2b of the future

id rather have him than albies from atlanta

I was just about to say if they could somehow get torres that's a major come up.That kid gonna be a problem

Keith law said last year he has no weaknesses.Hope the white sox actually make these trades so I can watch them besides when they play the cubs.May as well do it trade sale and get a haul then trade quintana and get another haul then trade cabrera, robertson and eaton and you can have your future set.

who doesnt love prospects

its why i took a liking to the cubs

this franchise has been spinning in mud for the past decade and even if sale is 1 of the best pitchers in the game today the white sox are still going nowhere with him

i really think this fan base would actually be in favor of such a move cause theyd have a legit plan for once

im gonna be so pissed if they dont so shit because with the fa market being pretty mediocre they can cash in big time by moving certain pieces like frazier, cabrera, robertson and of course sale

the white sox could control the entire offseason they HAVE to take advantage

The Miami Marlins would love to sign Kenley Jansen if the market breaks right for them. They are considering the idea of putting together a super pen since there aren’t the types of starters available at reasonable cost to help them upgrade their rotation in a meaningful way.

One thing in their favor, potentially: Jansen is from Curacao, and might not mind Miami. They have a geographic edge in a potential Aroldis Chapman derby, as well, but that might be a difficult race for them to win, even more difficult than Jansen.

One more plus: Marlins manager Don Mattingly had Jansen with the Dodgers when Jansen’s career took off.

all those stanton jokes and it might be my team losing our stars to the marlins. fml

my only thing with her comment is that i just seen some shit about how she didnt understand kaepernick outrage at what was happening with injustice and brutality but goes on some shit over a baseball award

but i dont really care what she got say on anything

since 2008 the cy young voting had been showing signs of the voters taking modern metrics into account more often but this year without anyone in the a.l clearly outshining all others they fell back on the old 20 wins formula

cutch is gonna be gone

They were asking for a lot at the deadline. It's hard to gauge his value cuz he's 30 coming off one of his worst seasons and he may not be a cf anymore.

Always was a McCutchen fan wish the cubs could get him but the pirates aren't gonna do that

Where would he fit in on the cubs? He wouldn't work since he's not a leadoff hitter. Damn near a power hitter the last few seasons.

yeah i read that the nats were in on him in around the trade deadline

keith law thinks his value is a 3 prospect (real ones) deal for him + something else

it does make sense for pittsburgh to move him for pitching though

polanco in left

marte in center

bell in right (until meadows arrives)
http://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/2016/11/14/13613808/cubs-trade-target-charlie-blackmon

just a speculation piece

but according to this the cubs may have interest in rockies charlie blackmon

his defense is shaky but hed be a hell of a leadoff hitter to have at the top of that lineup

CF and lead off hitter to replace dex fowler and he's had the same consistent power numbers for the last 5 years

McCuthchen has a good eye, patient approach and doesn't strike out a lot he can hit lead off on this cubs team

It's just talk the pirates aint trading duke to the cubs
