I just read his comments he complaining about his playing time in the playoffs which is selfish, then he questioned maddon using chapman like he did the last 2 games lol

Contreas is the future anyway

Sox have a lot of fans, there parade had over 3 million and there is a grip of sox fans up north. Cubs benefitted from that mythology of the curse.....shit like that sells

No they don't

Chicago is 70/30 cubs to white sox fans.White sox fans been bottom 5 in attendance the last 2-3 years and before that were bottom 7.That's terrible for a big market all these fans ghost unless they winnin

It's hot stove season. This my wish list

Resign chapman or sign Jansen

Acquire either Lorenzo Cain or Andrew Mccutchen to play cf and hit lead off

get a lefty for the bullpen

Pipe dream Trade arrieta for a younger pitching prospect or player.I don't think the cubs are gonna re sign arrieta and he's a fa after '17 season

Example would be arrieta and soler to the marlins for christian yelich

I think fowler is gone in fa,travis wood gone in fa,strong chance chapman gone too cuz he about to get broke off

Rumor has it the Giants are gonna go hard after Cespedes.

Dodgers need to re-sign Turner and Jansen. I think they will. I think Rich Hill & Scott Kazmir will prolly dip. I think Trayce Thompson takes Puig's spot. This year we will have to let the young pitchers grow . (Ross Stripling, Brock Stewart and Jose De Leon) I think as good as the Dodgers were last season they could be better if healthy. They lost a lot of players due to injury.

That would makes sense and would be a good look cuz they need a corner outfielder and most importantly a power bat.Giants need bullpen help more than anybody in mlb too I wonder what they gonna do to fix that bullpen

Y'all should be putting together that offer for quintana or sale with some of these names

I wouldn't mind that at all. Not sure yet who they should keep out of Stripling and De Leon.

More than one GM has said that White Sox GM Rick Hahn is open for business on just about his entire roster. That includes Chris Sale and the rest of the rotation, Jose Abreu, third baseman Todd Frazier, and closer David Robertson.

:o we'll see in the next week or so.

wrigley field is located in the hot part of town -- 20 somethings who move to chicago for work or play disproportionately live in the area and adopt the team as part of a social scene -- there are of course some lifelong followers and passionate baseball savvy cubs fans around but i truly believe the majority are social fans who name their dogs wrigley and have no actual clue about whats happening on the ball field most of the time

case in point theos plan

the plan was to lose for a few years and get draft picks and to sell assets to get minor league players -- the plan was to rebuild the worst farm system in baseball and stock it with position players -- once those players were ready to play in the major league the plan was to then buy pitching and start competing -- there were many fans including members of the media who continuously bashed theo for losing and acted like they didnt understand what the plan was -- while the cubs were rebuilding through the draft they constantly called for the cubs to spend money on over 30 players to try and win now

obviously theres more involved but thats a thumbnail

if you look at attendence over the years for decades the white sox and cubs see sawed between who was the biggest draw in town -- its been the last 10-15 years that the cubs have dominated -- theres a lot of factors there -- the cubs/tribune group marketing wrigley as a draw on its own which helped in the (many) years the team was bad -- the cubs being owned by the tribune for many years so you have 2 of the biggest media outlets in the city (tribune and wgn) heavily promoting the cubs -- the white sox threatening to leave the city for tampa which left a bad taste in many fans mouths -- bad luck of a baseball strike right when the 90s white sox team was hitting its peak etc
