Fowler was the catalyst he kept getting hits off fernandez then scoring the cubs for some odd reason can't hit 4-5 starters but can make an ace work makes no sense whatsoever

the bullpens tweaking and the starting pitching returning to form has gotten the cubs back on track
maddon gotta keep putting contreras behind the plate for everyone but lester i guess
he played with gordon once again at 1b and it worked with rondon picking him off
he has a keen eye for the game behind the plate and is proving he will make base runners think twice with that arm he has -- hammel was praising him in his post game presser too -- its obvious the veteran pitchers on the team think highly of him so might as well ride the hot hand now and get dude some meaningful playing time before the playoffs

the home plate umpire in philly stopped the game to eject a fan
bob davidson called time out
walked over to the stands and ejected a guy who was about 15 rows up
the fan hung around being defiant until security arrived and escorted him out
and this was in philadelphia whos famous for his kinda stuff -- i dont know what this guy could have said that was so far over the line that they kick him out though -- i didnt know that umpires were allowed to do that but evidently they are -- the fans around the offender seemed cool to see him go so he must have been an especially annoying loudmouth

contreras and hendricks have been great togther
hes caught him his last 5 or so starts and thats exactly what he needs
to get more work in behind the plate and get some chemistry going with the staff so he could start game 1 for arrietta and keep montero on the bench as much as possible
maybe the biggest miss was the failure of the red sox to close the deal with the white sox for sale
i dont know what it is with these boston GMs that think opposing GMs are in the business of making their teams better but i hope the red sox starting pitching keeps struggling
