at 1 point in the cubs game lefty long reliever travis wood pitched
then played 1+ innings in lf
made a terrific running catch against the ivy
then returned to the mound to finish the 8th
and to score the winning run lester (.051 hitting pitcher) put down a 2 strike safety squeeze bunt

in the giants game bochey used bumgarner as a pinch hitter for starter matt cain even though he was throwing a no no through 5

130 saves and an era of 1.80 over the past 4 seasons with the pirates
