Nice way to go into the break punishing them bitch made Mets

Can one of y'all baseball experts tell me why Mets let Daniel Murphy go? Is he just having a way above average season or this the norm?

"Story heard about the Albert Pujols deal: The Angels were at $160 million, when Arte Moreno went to $200 million on a phone call with agent Dan Lozano. And when Lozano told him he couldn’t have an answer for him at this time because he hadn’t spoken to Pujols, Moreno abruptly bumped it to $240 million. Then Lozano gave him his answer: Yes," Heyman relayed.

this is the moron that owns the team

he bid against himself

the guy was regarded as one of the best owners in baseball in his first 5-6 years in anaheim but thats because he was constantly being compared to frank mccourt

My schedule been so out of wack I forgot that it even came on. Saw highlights on ESPN this morning and was like "damn I missed it!!"

Its all about the NATIONALS though and the upcoming 2016 Cy Young winner Stephen Strasburg though

Kind of hopefully he stay healthy cause that back shit can end careers and he already had that tommy john surgery.

Its a baseball wide thing and I get it but that Nats a few times I feel were too cautious with him putting him on the DL and it cost them. Like 2 years ago they shut him down for the playoffs when he was in a great grove and the best pitcher we had and one of the best in the league for the stretch he was on.

Yea I remember that.At the time I thought they were being way too cautious they probably coulda let him pitch but just have specific pitch counts or innings limit he couldn't go over.Just manage his starts the rest of that season, but I understand they were tryin to protect their best pitcher at the time.Being a cubs fan and watching kerry wood and mark prior throw 120-130 pitches a start then both becoming injury prone shells of themselves(wood had awful mechanics steve stone said he would always be injured cuz of it) I get it from the nationals perspective.

I got it too but maybe it was just the homer nats fan I am. I felt that we really had a good shot at the WS that year with how he was pitching and the bats active at that point as well.

They said Strasburg mechanics was fucked up to which is why he got hurt and needed that surgery.

All I wanted was the bold.

ive always found it interesting how ortiz has never endured the scorn heaped on others like

bonds

clemens

rodriguez

braun

etc

even though it is obvious that he was as guilty as any of them

ortiz has been on record claiming that he has been tested more than any other player

he stated that he has undergone at least 80 tests

he doesnt seem to realize he told on himself because mlb rules accepted by the mlbpa put in place in 2009 allows for 2 tests a year for players -- those who tested positive between 2006 and 2009 were not yet subject to suspensions -- the rules in place during those years called for non disclosure of the positive test the first time and a warning of suspension if it was repeated -- the players who tested positive during those years were also to become subject to increased testing including random tests up to 8 times a year and that would be the only way it is possible for ortiz to have undergone so many tests (him having tested positive during those confidential years between 2006 and 2009)

being well liked among writers and peers goes a long way

joe buck endorsement for ortiz making the hof conveniently ignores his ped use

bartolo another dude people forgot about too

media really do choose who to vilify
