Stephen strasburg signed a 7 year 175 mil extension.Andrelton simmons has a torn thumb ligament

Don't know what's goin on wit sonny gray but he been getting rocked

first half: 108 ip, 2.09 era, 0.99 whip, 97 k

second half: 100 ip, 3.41 era, 1.18 whip, 72 k

his slide started with the 2nd half of last year when he was battling back and hip injuries that had his velocity dipping down and it remains down a little bit this year from the norm but overall nothing huge

gotta believe hes going to straighten out given his track record (provided that hes healthy)

with next year crop of fa sp being so weak pitching on the trade market will have sky high prices via supply and demand so they should still be able to get something for him but you have to imagine this is affecting his trade package

i never imagined a scenario (especially with the injuries) where the cubs would start out 25-6 with the back end of that rotation with hammel/hendricks but they held up very nice lets see if it continues in the 2nd half

with baseball being on every day theres nothing better than being a fan of a good team

last season it got fun for yall around late july/august when the cubs got hot but this could be the most fun for cubs fans since summer 98

Zobrist was a great pick up this dude can hit,draws walks and he rarely strikes out. he has a 433 ob%

Only complaint is his range at 2b is limited
