Cubs were patient last year they were #1 in the nl drawing walks and #2 in mlb.This year they're #1 in mlb so far,they led the league in strikeouts last year but that was mainly cuz of all the rookies in the lineup

arrieta/strop for feldman/clevenger is definitely the best trade the cubs front office has made

samardzija/hammel for russell/mckinney is probably #2 especially since hammel came right back to chicago after a half season rental in oakland but the cashner for rizzo is up there too

got a future mvp level player within their first few weeks on the job
