I think stanton & yelich will get traded this off season.Always been a yelich fan he'd be a perfect fit but I don't know how the cubs can acquire him they don't really have nothin after the quintana & wilson heists unless it's a salary dump type trade.I'd give up happ or almora or both and a prospect.
https://twitter.com/sean_sears6/sta.../2017/10/cubs-eyeing-star-red-sox-outfielder/According to a source, the Cubs are being told that Epstein is targeting position players from Boston and Miami, with budding outfielder Andrew Benintendi sitting atop the team’s wishlistthe Cubs are making it clear that they are willing to part with some MLB-talent to make a deal like this happen.[/b]A source explained that while the scouts are not saying who the Cubs would be willing to part with, they did drop a subtle hint that Kyle Schwarber may not be the untouchable piece he was regarded as a year ago. Players like Addison Russell, Javier Baez, Albert Almora Jr, and even rookie Ian Happ could also be considered in deals this offseason. This does not mean the Cubs are trying to trade any of those players, just that the Cubs would be more willing to move one of those pieces if it nets them a Andrew Benintendi caliber player.
Another name mentioned was Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich, who the Cubs have checked in a few times this past season while Miami owners attempted to sell the team. The Cubs would also have an interest in Giancarlo Stanton, but with his massive contract and with players like Jason Heyward owed close to 150 mil over the next six years, that seems impossible.

cubs need to do something to acquire a top of the order bat that can hit around .300 to help even out the free swingers they have on this roster
how and who that may be i dont know but i dont think they can just stick with the status quo with the every day lineup and expect the offensive problems to just go away
![]()
cubs have 2 of the 5 lowest batting averages in mlb history among teams that have played at least 8 postseason games

Schwarber and almora for benetendi? That a reasonable trade in your opinion?
Red Sox need a left handed power hitter since ortiz retired.Schwarber will eat wit that short rf wall at fenway they also get a cf.
Almora & happ for yelich.I'd throw in caratini too if necessary
Keep baez and russell
I agree they do need more contact hitters who draw walks the whole dodgers line up was doin that
you gonna become a full time cubs fan if they get benitendi lol.I'd take either player, I always liked both
