Basically encarncion replaces napoli + they get brantley back.Indians line up loaded

then they get carrasco and salazar back in the rotation wit the same bullpen mannn

i cant believe how much the market dried up for encarnacion

bautista i get

he just turned 36 and is coming off an injury plagued season in which his batting average, slugging percentage, OPS, home runs, and runs batted in were the lowest theyve been for him since he started taking PEDs becoming an all-star in 2010 but with encarnacion its weird because he has the production and i feel like he should get the money from somebody and its been a while since the whole league thought like that on a high end FA who passes as much of the eyeball test as he does

of all the money getting tossed around for relief pitchers its weird that a top producing everyday player was available and he got stiffed

cleveland came up even more

Only 2 of these cats top 10 pirates prospects.I'd be shocked if quintana got traded without receiving meadows, since he's the most mlb ready and a position player.

somebody is going to cave

its hard to imagine any of the rockies, pirates, astros or yankees passing up adding a 4-5 win player for 4 years

none of them would feel the pain of losing the prospects either

just like the nationals and red sox they have the organizational depth to trade away prospects without mortgaging the future

with the twins and white sox rebuilding and royals/tigers trending downward

this is clevelands window to completely run away with the central at the bare minimum

Same here. Didn't realize how much baseball was becoming my favorite sport to watch until these last few weeks of watching a lot of football. Football just has way too much stoppage of action. Score a touchdown and they got to review it for 5 minutes. Go to a commercial. Kickoff. Commercial. Something worthwhile happens and it gets called back due to a penalty flag. People give baseball a bad rap and say it is boring because of the lack of action but they should reconsider what "action" is. If a touchdown was worth one run like in baseball would football really be that much more action packed than baseball?

They showin the cubs postseason run on csn,I think today the last day like it should be games 6 & 7 of the world series today

i dont know if the bulls/bears will win another title while i’ living but i seriously doubt itll feel the way the cubs made me feel

and im not even a cubs fan lol

i hung onto each cubs playoff game this past season pitch by pitch

equally exhausting and exhilarating

i did a book report on this shit once lol

a normal baseball game featured only 18 minutes of action

about 30 minutes of each game was taken up with switching batters and another 45 with commercial breaks but the largest amount which was like 90 minutes was spent between pitches, while pitchers and batters went through their 'routine'

while 18 minutes of action doesnt sound like a lot

nfl was worse with only 11 minutes of actual game action

watching an nfl game live

Yup.This '16 cubs postseason was the ultimate coronation don't think any chicago sports moment will ever compare

after game 7 I was in a daze,I hit the blunt and passed out after watching the celebration.I dvr'd the post game interviews etc, took about a month for it to set in they were finally champs.I watched game 7 every night for like 3 weeks that game was crazy man.Not gonna front after davis hr I was reeling, I thought they were about to lose which woulda been epic and wouldn't compare to any other failure in cubs history that woulda took the cake. This team had heart unlike the past they never let adversity break them and that started in '15 with all the comeback and 1 run wins.Maddon instilled that but he also let the pressure get to him the way he managed the last 2 games. He was doin WAY too much but I'm glad they got over that hump.New era for cubs the lovable loser, choking, futility days gone. Now can watch the youngins grow and compete for the pennant every year without the 1908 cloud hovering over them.

Baseball has to work on shortening their games and season too imo, both sports are flawed

A clock on the pitcher (Pedro Baez) and getting rid of the 7th inning stretch would help. I have no issue with the long season. I'm talking about a tv viewing experience. Football is getting frustrating to watch imo.
