thats a good call on lee he just got cleared too

i dont know about alvarez shoulder but for lee it would definitely be a worthwhile low risk, high reward 1-year deal as long as its heavy incentived

i just cant see this being theo endgame for the cubs pitching staff though i imagine a trade is coming soon

I think theo about to stack up some more cuban intentional free agents. He was scouting this cuban pitcher last week and there's a couple cuban pitchers with decent upside who can be in the rotation by 2016 or '17 and a trade(pitching or cf) is still a possibility

Cubs need to try to get a defensive cf inciarte from the dbacks, kleimeir from the rays or pillar from the blue jays would be ideal fits

Reds gm said they're trading chapman and wit the winter meetings starting tommorow it could be in the next couple days.Just get him out the nl central and hopefully the NL period unless =)

I wonder who gonna get him

its sounding like the cubs are vamping up trade efforts

it could be a big week for them

according to jesse rogers the cubs may be looking to free up money to make a run at heyward but what i dont understand is how soler or castro names keep coming up in terms of freeing up that money -- soler signed for 9 years 30 million and castro is due to make like 6 or 7 million next year -- montero i get but those other two are some very friendly deals, maybe theyre front end loaded or maybe a combination of all of them would free up enough payroll -- im not sure but that kinda money really shouldnt be an issue especially with the year they just had and their future revenue potential

good move bringing cahill back since bosio seemed to unlock something last year

no reason to not try to keep that going

supposedly the chapman deal isnt complete there may be other teams still involved

gotta hope its no seager, urias or deleon involved but a jansen/chapman 8-9 combo

wow

if you aint leading by the 7th inning against the dodgers just fucking forget it -- on paper that could be one of the best bullpens with those two anchoring it but who knows how it will actually turn out though i was hearing on mlb network that according to players that know him, jansen wouldnt react well to losing his job

a first year manager having to try and make this work with two elite closers

could be interesting if the trade goes through

It's baez and maybe soler

The rays,Braves, orioles and Indians all want javier baez, cubs would get one of these pitchers cobb or moore + McGee from the rays, salazar or carrasco from the indians or shelby miller for the braves or gausman from the o's.I been sad all day since like 6am

the marlins are doing what they should be

asking for a franchise altering return for a guy who even with the injury history has a great deal of upside in the future

i wish the white sox would take the same approach with chris sale
