so just stick to the core fans, and dont try to gain more fans what so ever...

sounds good.

you know your really quite simple.

artist = fans (core fans)

artist makes good music = gets spread around mediums = through mediums gains new fans

+

artist = fans (core fans)

artist makes poor music = gets no coverage or play on any medium = loses core fans

arent you supposed to be an artist bro ?

you can't sacrifice one fanbase for another , one song for the ladies is cool but when your second is for ladies and ya third is produced by Alex Da Kid then you got some problems . He making his steps to selling out and eventually falling off. Your Core fans are your real fans never forget that.

You do realize that he has other singles beyond those right? He has already shot videos for Lost Ones, Lights Please, and is gonna do one for Cheer Up right. You're being a little presumptious, you don't even know what his set up is and how they will market his album and you don't even know what that Alex the Kid song sounds like, your making the assumption it's gonna be a club banger.

Everyone who has heard the album from the listening session has said the album will satisfy his core audience.

Nas dropped a classic album w no monster singles.. Cole just gotta do him and let everything fall in place

the 1994 music audience and the 2011 music audience is a little different, people were smart and hiphop savy enough to get music like Illmatic and other raw hiphop. Todays audience are dense as fuck when it comes to music, it's (image, gimmick, etc) and the perception of success (see Rick Ross).

I'm buying the album regardless, but I'm talking about the mass audience. I personally would not buy an album where the first two singles were directed at women. EVEN Drake had "Over"

but look what happened with that feature and the lady gaga feature his shit went down the tubes . People just really started fuckin wit his music . but the More About Nothing tape and then the Waka/Dash single off that tape and the MMG signing brought him back . It took him time with a lot of decent music and maneuvers for people to start rocking with him again
