Compton is actually nice looking now.

I can pretty much say for certain that aint shit gonna happen to you. Most likely not even a dirty look. It aint 1994 no more.

Its just an everyday place with everyday people. if you going there to see goons and shit u will be highly disappointed.

There's a few sprinkled around if u don't count USC students....4rm what I've seen they juss be walking around like its whatever, they not them uppity white folks tho, juss regular white people lol. They mingle with the blacks and mexicans. Got skateboarders, punk rockers, regular whites and the ones that dress and act black. Seen an older white dude like in his 40s with a business suit on up at the local t-shirt spot getting a pro club shirt lol didn't look scared or nervous, juss greeted every1, knew the store owner who was black and went about his day.

I live in San Diego, I have friends in the area/near the area. I also used to live in LA, and was in Compton often because of girls I met, etc.

Is it dangerous? Not really. Slightly gentrified, a lot of serious dudes are in jail, the Mexicans kind of took over shit, etc. It's BAD, but a girl of mine used to dance at a club near LAX, I used to hang out in Compton a lot to kill time, playing pool and shit.

When I first got to California in 2000, it was noticeably worse.

There is no POINT to be in Compton, though. It's mostly boring residential and local businesses.

If you want to some comical LA gang-banging shit, I can give you directions to exact areas to bring your camcorder to.

Me and my lady want to visit Cali. I personally want to see Compton, but of course she's not feeling it. She's has the stereotypical view based off movies and hear say. This isn't a field trips to the hood type deal. I'm aware of the possibe dangers. I want to see Cali and all its glory, but Compton would be the highlight. So those who reside in Cali, visited or have no intentions on going what's your take on it?

I personally did not have in problems in Compton when I lived in Los Angeles in 2008. They was even building large condos there.

Around USC is the hood bruh.. Alot of bloods say round there.. USC is in the middle of the hood damn near.. But the L.A. white folks.in genreal is cool IMO.

Yeah u got the bloods over there. Crossing Exposition is my hood that consists mainly of Harlem Crips. USC is surrounded by the hood but they safe, most of the time. It's all ghetto further South and South east and a lil SouthWest. There's invisible borders all around the city.
