we democratized the gubment but we didnt democratize the economy

we should have

and we will

How is that? We vote with our dollars. You dont like a store/company, dont buy their goods.

Problem with Americans are we partner enough as consumers. Consumer Unions. Imagine if 1 million people decided to boycott Wal-Mart until they started opening atleast 60% of their registers.

Education can't be measured by dollars. Profit or non-profit. It is the effectiveness of what it produces and brings out of the student.

We confuse indoctrination with education. That is why it seems the more educated you are the more in line with the status quo you are. That is not neccesarily bad unless the status quo is.

This country is run by "educated" people.

Think about your being trained to fit into a system that is diametrically opposed to merit, fair dealings, and interest of the whole. Is that really education?

the key point many of you are missing is that the for-profit schools in Sweden actually care about their students by accepting the nationwide curriculum.

For-profit in U.S.A. is easily confused with short-term success whilst in many states with a socialist approach they instead encourage continuing education and national prosper. U.S.A. has demonized capitalism (which this is a step towards) and made it what it shouldn't be...

True. But a system like this would do away with that. Me and you would be able to get together and start a school, and try to make it attractive for parents to put their kids in.

Imagine KTULU & BornnRaisedCMR Academy for Excellence, shit would be crazy.

what would privatized stalinism look like?

The phrase "privatized stalinism" sounds like something an interviewer could successfully troll Sarah Palin with.

WOW I drew a picture JUST LIKE THIS back in middle school as a joke. I thought a nun with an AK-47 was the funniest thing I ever drew.

....they dragged me into the guidance counselors office and had me evaluated. ...SMH

It right like DIRECTLY after Colombine, I was in middle school (like 8th grade). It was a nun holding a classroom hostage with an AK-47. I laughed my ass off for like 5 minutes and then lost the paper. I didnt think anything of it. One of my teachers found it, (I think it mighta had my name on it) and turned it into my school guidance counselor. The counselor came up to me in the hallway and asked me to join me in his office. He asked me things like "how are you doing? Is anyone picking on you? Are you feeling depressed? Do you feel anger?" then he showed me the picture and my jaw dropped. I was like "No no I drew it because I thought it was funny" he goes "People holding up classes with guns is funny to you?" I was like "No, it was because she was a nun, a nun with a gun. Get it? Its a joke. Nuns with guns. I thought it was funny" and shrugged. He asked me if I planned on shooting anyone I was like "No" he let me go and told me not to draw pictures like that again

lol
