To be fair, for anyone that isn't associated with the FGC... the way sfv was released would certainly be seen as a dick move.
It's brought them a lot of negative publicity that would certainly not be there if they had just held off the release. I think it may cost them more than it was worth in the end.

Dog, they put out a schedule. We already knew that there would be a big batch of DLC in March and that the Cinematic Story Mode would be released in June. Capcom was stupid for not just making a formal announcement and putting the info in one place, but they released the info piecemeal for weeks to months before release depending on what you're talking about. You want proof, go to Google.

No, we didn't know there would be no Arcade Mode or Spectator Mode when the game dropped. They weren't that specific, but they were clear about the fact that the game that was released at launch would be a work in progress. So if you new weeks in advanced that the game dropped on 2/16 would be missing content and you still bought it, whose fault is that? How did Capcom cheat you?
And what fuckery is about? It's not like people who bought SFV are missing out on anything. We're going to get all the content and we're not going to be charged extra for it, so what have I lost? Not a damn thing. This is a game they said they plan to support for the lifetime of the PSV. That could be another 5 years. So am I really supposed to feel slighted that I have to wait a month to be able to watch other people play online? Come on man. The only thing Capcom really did wrong was underestimating how stupid and whiny gamers are. If you didn't want the game in it's current form, you didn't have to buy the game at launch. You could have gotten it in March or in June, so I fail to see what the problem is. People have been crying about this shit for like two weeks now as if Capcom went to their houses, drug them out at gunpoint, and made them buy at launch. Sometime I wonder if gamers actually like to play games. I've been loving SFV. The shit is fun as hell to me, and will only get better over time.
