so how does nonexistence turn into existence?
our morals are shaped by judeo/christian heritage, whether u'd like to admit it or not. n where in the bible does it say the bible has no problem wit rape, abuse, etc?
LMAO
yes God commanded the isrealites to kill the canaanites but ur takin it out of context, he wasnt commandin it just to have some fun n watch ppl die
"It is not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart that you are going to possess their land, but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD your God is driving them out before you, in order to confirm the oath which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob." (Deuteronomy 9:5)
"You shall not behave thus toward the LORD your God, for every abominable act which the LORD hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods." (Deuteronomy 12:31)
"When the LORD your God cuts off before you the nations which you are going in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, beware that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise?' (Deuteronomy 12:29-30)
look at the story of sodom, he saved the righteous before he wiped out the city of wicked. before he was gonna wipe out the city abraham asked him, "Will You indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? (Genesis 18:23)
then abraham begs him down to spare the city if there are 10 righteous ppl within a whole city of wicked ppl, and God promised he wouldnt if he found 10. interestingly enough, there was only a family of 4 who were found to be holy in the whole city, so God wiped the city out, sending angels to save the only 4 righteous ppl in that land before it all went down.
slavery in the ancient days was more of a class structure, not roundin up ppl and hating them over the color of their skin. ppl practiced voluntary slavery in order to cover their debts, the involuntary slavery that u claim the bible condones....well....is not condoned at all. the rules actually PROTECTED the slaves from any types of mistreatments. just because it doesnt outlaw it does not mean it condones it. smh. society created slavery, not God.
1 Timothy 1:8–10
We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers....
Anyone who kidnaps another and either sells him or still has him when he is caught must be put to death (Exodus 21:16)........OK BUDDY
