Felt weird for being a 13 year old black male that liked 'Black Hole Sun' but the 90's was good like that across the board. RIP.

Shit Soundgarden was one of my fav rock groups all time period and I'm only 26.

im usually the "different" dude around here but I dont know who these guys are

Same here I quickly went and checked out Black Hole Sun after reading this though and I'd never heard it.

I'm more of a Pink Floyd rock type, but regardless RIP to Chris Cornell dude seemed like a legend in his own time.

I think Eddie Vedder gonna be the one to grow into an old as man. I can with Pearl Jam heavy too. Even FLow and Jeremy my shit.

Who's EVEN left from the grunge genre other than dude. I know pretty much all the major ones gone but there were a lot of less popular groups on the genre too right?

Damn, I didn't even know the lead singer of Soundgarden was the lead singer of Audioslave. Anyways, R.I.P. "Rusty Cage" was my shit. I tried to not like Audioslave, but they were good too. The man was an amazing singer.

First off R.I.P. to Chris. Very tragic loss. The love of Soundgarden should go without saying. But Audioslave was another group I felt was underrated and had the best of both worlds of R.A.T.M and Soundgarden

But as for other groups still left from the grunge era? Well to my knowledge, Mudhoney is currently active and still touring. And also Melvins are still releasing music as well. In fact, their latest full album release was this year. And although they technically dont fall into just grunge since they also experiment with other genres like sludge and alternative metal, they were very influential in the development of grunge. King Buzzo was also the one who introduced Cobain and Novoselic to Grohl. Cobain also did some co-production work on their album Houdini
