I'd say Yelawolf since he actually dropped an album. or Kreayshawn for receiving the biggest payout with the least amount of work and effort

smdh fam its crazy they really whitewashing rap a niggaz to dumb to even care.

I dont think the average person even noticed what went down this year but who would have thought that Mac Miller would have a #1 album and Wiz Khalifah wouldnt?? Emenim is up for two Grammys this year and he will win at least one.

Out of the labels that signed white rappers or all labels in general? Labels in general I'd say YMCMB just because I dont think any other label had 3 platinum+ albums in the year. and we all know c4 wasn't that good, so the facts that that album was able to move 2 million copies is impressive. Out of the labels that signed white rappers it's hard to tell.

When Rolling Stone magazine crowned Emenim the "KING" of HipHop earlier this year most of us just sat back and laughed while CEO's and Exec's obviously took it seriously.

and this is EXACTLY why those rappers and r&b singers who regularly go on programmes and interviews and flatly name Eminem as the greatest rapper ever when the question is put to them need to be checked for their boot-licking "opinions".

When Rakim says Eminem is the Muhammad Ali of rap, it's easy to write it off as "that's just his opinion dude", but in reality, it serves as a critical defence mechanism for the culture-vultures and parasites. If enough artists express that "opinion", how long until they think it's ALL of hip-hop's opinion?

and I didn't even know Pauly D was white, looks Hispanic.

you forgot mac miller,

gucci and waka are retards who make crappy music, i doubt they can even spell uncle tom.

im not a fan of V nasty and i dont advocate her use of the word, but nobdy is going to take you seriously if you just attack and downplay every white rapper who gets a little bit of shine.

Why would I add Mac Miller when he didnt get signed by a label this year??

I only listed the artists that got deals this year and as of right now Mac Miller is still independant.

I mean based on the token-artists that got signed which label made the best move? Def Jam?? Roc Nation??

I'd say that 50 won easily.

For one 50 has his label G-Note Records made specifically for pop and R&B artist. DJ Pauly D is exactly that a DJ. He's the only one on the list who is actually good at what he does. We all know that 50 has been internationally known so it only helps him to sign a guy like Pauly D who is internationally known (from Jersey Shore) and already had an established fan base way before 50 signed him. 5 years from now Pauly D will be the only one relevent on this list.

That pro-black, racist shit is played out B. Who the fuck cares? Seriously tho

Are you Pro-White?? You sound like a racist.

Does it offend you that I pointed out that nearly all the major HipHop labels signed a token-white rapper this year compared to the last 10 years that barley saw one??

Did my observation of this industry trend make your face turn red?? Did you blush??

Damn son, you greatly exaggerate your intelligence. You think you are speakin gospel on here, but you aren't saying shit?

It's no secret that white people love white rappers, shit has always been this way. You're trying to turn this into some "this shit is going to have dire consequences" for the genre type of ish, when you're the only one who really cares. Nobody is really thinkin about that shit (although it's not going to happen anyways) except for you, most people just listen to music for entertainment, you take things to a ridiculous level.

I'm Pro-Who-Gives-A-Fuck about stuff like this...as long as the music is good.

By the way, the bold is completely false....

So... Drake is "white" when you want to make a negative point about him but "black" when you want to use him to talk album sales?

I'd say the Beastie Boys won this year... Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame inductees and deservedly so.
