The funny thing is racism was never buried. You just can't go to sleep and wake up and *POOF* it's gone.
Time to play Devil's advocate: What if ALL the Hip Hop was White oriented and a Black artist with came in and was crowned the best thing in the culture...would you let 'em live?
Hey, I'm just looking at the Billboard charts and who these labels are signing and then sharing the observations.
Kreayshawn is hosting the VMA's, Rolling Stone is crowning Emenim the King of HipHop, and every label is grabbing a token artist, but people want to be upset with me when I share the observation?
The casual fan will say it's meaningless and that only wild-eyed militant racist-Niggas would make this type of observation but a student of HipHop can tell you the beginning and ending of every era in HipHip and what led to the beginnings and endings.
Emenim was the Trojan-Horse and in 2011 the flood-gates were opened and in 2012 the culture will take on a completely different look and feel and the street-essence will be dead on a mainstream level with T.I. leading the charge.
