Why should Pac's success (or lack thereof) be celebrated, when he pretty much changed his entire aura to fit the mold of what he thought would sell?

But that's the thing. Pac clearly was NOT as big when he was alive as you all would lead us to believe. Was he moving units? Yes. Did he have hits? Yes. But he was in no way, shape, or form dominating the market...until he died. The majority of his success came posthumously, so how exactly was he some big worldwide superstar pre-death, when he didn't reach that status, til AFTER death?

Look at the initial post...and read the article I posted.

It's long as shit, though. But a very good read, detailing how Pac pretty much marketed himself as a "thug" because it would make him a viable rap star, which would in turn, make him sell records.

Why are we even arguing about Pac's success, when NONE of it was based on anything organic?
