So Michael Eric Dyson and Cornel West are at it again...

Dyson is a certified fake, and it's no surprise that he's capin for Crazy ass Melissa Perry, and those ambulance chasers Jesse & AL. I mean from the jump that should send a red flag out.

This is all about the Black political machine trying to purge any dissenters. They have big agendas that receive tons of money, and they don't want anyone rocking the boat, calling people like Obama out. What has Obama done to even help Black America...nothing. And if you point hat out, the Black political elite will jump on you. We're supposed to act like this guy is some great president when he's trash. Take a look at Black employment, and Black wages. They have the Dems pushing min wage like that some kind of solution, when Black people were making well above min wage before. Cornell West is just calling it like it is, but they will even turn on him if he dares to criticize.

Seriously, fuck Eric Dyson, and fuck his words.

This is sad. Kinda like Wu-Tang vs. Slaughterhouse sad, where I fux with both sides, and rather see them work together.

BHO is a politican first and foremost, what you expect? The office of the president is powerful and powerless at the same time. I like second term Obama, but like other presidents he's still a war criminal with his use of drone strikes, killing and injuring innocent people, but maybe I'm being too idealistic.

Hate to see these two beefing in public, could've kept it to himself or talked privately

I read it. its interesting. Its also bad for business.

"why we fight each other in public in front of these arrogant fascists? they love it..." Nasir

]This despite the fact that all have been critical of President Obama at one point or another, but have couched their criticism with respect for both the office and the place President Obama holds in the hearts of many African Americans

This.

Fact is Dyson, Harris-Perry, ,Sharpton, Jackson etc.

HAVE publicly criticize and voice their disagreement with Obama on various issues.

I've done it myself.

Obama is not above criticism but you dont have to constantly come off sounding like you on the payroll with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity every time you open your fucking mouth

Dont judge, but these are the texts I get at 10 PM. We're nerds.

Dr west does seem to have issues about everything with the potus. I will say healthy discussion should be encouraged . That keep us public from becoming sheep whenever the potus says anything.

I agree with a lot of Dr. West and Obama turned out like Umar and a lot have said he would. He done very little for thode who supported him the most. It's sad but What Umar said really came to pass.

Let's keep it 100

A lot of these black "conscious" militant folks are full of shit

and much like their right wing conservative counterparts

they also make a substantial living ($$$) feeding off of their target demographic ignorance, paranoia and frustration

The truth is many black Americans won't be satisfied until Barack and Michelle show up on their front porch with a $1million dollar check with their name on it

Couldn't name one person on their local city/county administration

but whining about what President Obama ain't doing for them

niggas to old for these bitter ignorant rivalries

i have admiration for all of them

but you know how niggas be you cant hold more than one person in any regard and people get looked at as opponents and they start pac an big'n niggas..

I would say black "conscious" liberal folk are even more full of shit though. Black people really shouldn't fuck with either party because both don't care about us. The GOP hates anything that not White/Male/Christian, and the Dems are already capin for the growing Latino vote.

And you're last sentence sums up what 95% of so-called, self-appointed "Black leaders" do. I'll never forgive those who pushed stricter laws for crack over cocaine decades ago, thinking that would benefit us. Be wary of a man in a suit bearing gifts.

Poor timing. You're an academic yet you waste your time writing what is the equivalent an angry text message to an ex.

The more I think about, the more pathetic this is. This is why I'm losing respect for black academics...

Half way through the new republic article, it's one black man taking down another for white entertainment.

It took me a whole day to get halfway through. I suspect I'll have completed it by today's end. When he started talking about how West was no longer a great writer and then provided that deconstructionist style criticism of how writing can be so much more taxing then eloquent speech...I was like "oooouch". Not only because it's true, but because it seemed unnecessary. Aside from that, I don't think he's off base. It's very easy for West to get on a soapbox and talk shit from the safety of being completely ignorant of all the nuances of politics and economics. One of his main issues with Obama has been the lack of assistance to poor people. To me, it just seems so very cheap and easy to say "do something for the people in poverty." That's a buzz word that garners almost universal acclaim from everyone listening. Who doesn't want to help poor people? I've never heard him, nor Tavis for that matter, giving concrete solutions as to how to solve these problems without alienating the rest of population. You can't just throw up programs to help the poverty without funding it some how. There are tonnes of moving parts that have to be considered, which guys like these don't have to deal with before, during or AFTER they propose the solutions. They are both jealous and petty.
