we go threw this every couple weeks , and i'm going to say this J.cole's album is probably not coming out this year if its coming out . If you look at the industry right now, the big more established artists are having a tough time with getting projects released and they have proven track records. So its kinda hard to see J.Cole coming out with out a major hit record regardless of touring, commercial placement and all that stuff . Its already June 10 this month is almost outta here so time is passing by quick .

SO true. But some people just wanna see if he can live up to the hype of the others on the board and if he doesn't they want to talk shit and gloat about him failing. That is just the way a lot of people are in the world. I am not going to lie I want to see him put out his album soon because the little buzz he has is fading fast. The guy is a good artist but I think he is trying to hard to make a radio single instead of just being himself and putting out the music he is good at. If he really wants to make a radio single then I think he is going to have to get somebody else to make the beat and produce the song because his music style is to mellow.

But my thing is how u gonna try to degrade an artist because of what his/her FANS do? J Cole has said many times he will never live up to the Nas comparisons so obviously hes not out of his mind like most FANACTICS are.

The same reason a lot of people pick the artist or teams or whatever they like. Because they want to see somebody else get shine or they are just sick and tired of everybody dick riding so they hate. I agree it is hella juvenile but that is how a lot of people are in the world. Instead of just saying this person, team or what not isn't really my cup of tea they shit on it because they are tired of people hyping it up. I hope J. Cole does well because he doesn't seem to be coming off as a phony guy in his music or even the way he carries his self in public. He seems like a genuine down to earth dude not to mention he is close to where I am from. LOL.

A) dude does not depend on backing tracks that much

B) he has no hype man he spits every bar by himself

that's what really kills me....these niggas must have of a different definition of "boring". They act like he's MF Doom, Madlib or Kenn Starr.....when I hear "boring", those are type of artists I think of. They literally sound like they just woke up, stepped in the booth and started rapping. J. Cole's flow and delivery is far from boring.

Sidenote: These niggas must be talking about his character. He's just a regular guy in a hip hop scene were fans (especially younger fans) are accustomed to exaggerated characters rapping about nothing but pure fantasy (Ross being this big kingpin, Wiz and his $10,000 a month weed habit, Drake going from being a preppy nerd to being able to fuck any girl in the world that he wants) I think fans kinda live vicariously through these rappers, and Cole doesn't really give you anything to do that with in his rhymes. Like I said, he's more like your average everyday nigga.
