that's what really kills me....these niggas must have of a different definition of "boring". They act like he's MF Doom, Madlib or Kenn Starr.....when I hear "boring", those are type of artists I think of. They literally sound like they just woke up, stepped in the booth and started rapping. J. Cole's flow and delivery is far from boring.

Sidenote: These niggas must be talking about his character. He's just a regular guy in a hip hop scene were fans (especially younger fans) are accustomed to exaggerated characters rapping about nothing but pure fantasy (Ross being this big kingpin, Wiz and his $10,000 a month weed habit, Drake going from being a preppy nerd to being able to fuck any girl in the world that he wants) I think fans kinda live vicariously through these rappers, and Cole doesn't really give you anything to do that with in his rhymes. Like I said, he's more like your average everyday nigga.

True. It shows you what time period we really live in, which is a period were most people really are broke acting like they got it. Shit i can be honest, i'm broke as all out doors. I could be living on the street anytime soon and that's real.

But honestly it can also be a good thing. I mean if a kid who's walking around with alot of pain, anger and frustration listens to some rapper ala DMX, 2pac or whoever, then instead of him acting it out it can help him cuz they (the MC's) are painting the picture and expressing the same emotions that the kid's feeling and going through so you don't have to go out and act it out.

That's what hip-hop was supposed to do i think.
