@ ms jones, have u peeped how her demeanor changes when the jury is in the courtroom vs when they are not. it's like night and day. soon as the jury comes in she starts dabbing at her eyes with that same tissue she's had all trial. but when they're not there she's smiling and laughing with her attorneys.

Right...peep how she's wiping away tears, but her eyes aren't even red, face isn't tear streaked or stained...nothing about her demeanor indicates to me that she is even remotely remorseful about the death of her child. 31 days past before she even mentioned her child was "missing", and that was only due to the fact that her mother wanted to see her grandchild...let my baby come up missing, or not within seeing distance...I'm calling the police, I'm getting out the bloodhounds...I'm going to do WHATEVER I have to do to find my baby.....

I love how they are trying to pass her daughters death as the fathers fault. Everyone knows that white bitch killed her child. She isnt getting scott free if she was proven innocent. All that evidence and lies they have on her. she will get some prison time.

do you have some proof ??

All the defense team needs to do is instill probable doubt in ONE of the jurors and this will be a mistrial, even if it means bringing the whole family down – which is what J. Baez is doing right now – he is pro-bono by the way. If I was her attorney I would use the same strategy.

he was paid $89,565.43 by his client. They pulled up his financial statements that he declared for this trial. He was also paid by ABC News in the amount of $20,000. So...that's not quite pro-bono...

You are correct on the bolded, a trial of this magnitude normally costs .5m to 1m USD in defense and 90K is not that much - thence 'pro-bono'.

/your numbers are accurate though.

This is crazy..... our justice system makes me sick. I'm listening to this closing argument and I think they just may get her off. Going after George is diversion, not a defense. I really feel bad for him right now.

If they don't get her on murder they will get her on something else

They charged her with everything from 1st degree murder to child neglect

She will do some time

It's just a matter of how much

I think most of the family is involved in the cover up.

She definatley killed the kid, but they want her to get off.

i dont think she will get away with murder. as someone who has served jury duty before, i can tell you what it comes down to, is not the opinion of the state, not the opinion of the defense, not the evidence (though it plays its part), it comes down to personal pinion of the jurors, really. The states job is to prove beyond unreasonable doubt, the defense's job is to poke holes in that theory, the juror's job is convict or not convict, they dont have to prove a thing. I served on a high profile case, and when time came for deliberations, the 1st thing out of one juror's mouth, was "lets hurry up and wrap this up, ive got plans, he's guilty. You have strong members, weak members, and those inbetween who are easily swayed, followers. In the end, its really not about the case itself, but what they think, and alot if not all of it, is rendered with emotion over logic. and we are talking about a dead 2yr old child.

Sounds like that movie with John Cusack and Gene Hackman
