The fact that you even remember that let's me know ur persona is fake as fuck. Troll ass, Gumby-wearing ass, Affion Crocket-lookin ass, beard of Islam ass nigga

Gumby u blind. Bitch thats a hat....boy meets world was my shit trying to stereo type God and so was Seinfeld ....wats that about Islam pig skin?

your opinions on hiphop are kind of warped to me. I respectfully disagree with most of the shit u say. your ignorance makes people want to come at your neck sometimes and roast the shit outta u. smartenup dude

I don't agree with his opinion but it is his opinion. Some of these dudes though are going overboard like Shyne was never hot. His debut did go Platinum while he was in Jail and wasn't even here to promote it. Shyne was actually a rapper that rapped about shit he did unlike a lot of studio gangsters. Dude served a 10 year bid for his boss. LOL @ Nipsey Hustle online talking about someone "Westcoast Pass is revolked". Shyne don't give a shit about no westcoast pass. This man has been to hell and back. I do agree that his post-jail rapping hasn't been good but dude talking about "Shyne got no Classics, no hot songs" lets me know how old some of you are. Shyne got fire in his catalog and his debut was a solid 4 MICS easily. "Godfather buried Alive" was decent about 3.5 MICS but it had bangers.

Shyne is 100% correct about the interscope and Dre machine. Kendrick didn't get the time of day by a lot of bandwagon fans 2 or 3 years ago when he was grinding. Even "Section .80" was slept on. It wasn't until the Dre Co-sign that things change. Of course that's natural, Dre is a huge figure in Hip Hop but some of these fans were not riding for Kendrick until recently. I don't need Dre or Interscope to sell me Kendrick. I listened to him before the hype and become a fan. Kinda like Lupe before his debut. If Shyne think's it's trash, that's his view. I think "Trash" is way too harsh especially when I look at the state of the game. Kendrick's LP was strong but like Lupe on his debut, Kendrick is shinning in a weak game so when everything around you is weak, it's easy to see through the mist to what's good. Not Kendrick's fault but it is the state of the game. With all that said, Shyne obviously doing this for attention and trolling some of ya'll, lol. I was never a fan of him sounding like Big but his voice kinda what made people like him. This was my joint in college:

The record company should've buried that album alive. Shit's a must have only if you don't have anything else to sit your cups on...lol. But all jokes aside.....Shyne is ok I guess. As long as there are artist like Gucci, Chief Queef and Kreayshawn...he will at least be better than somebody. However, IMO Kendrick shits on Shyne lyrically and creatively.

@rapmastermind i respect your posts, but why you keep faulting K.Dot for his album being released in "down years" and slighting him for "Shining in a weak game" as if it's fault the game is so whack? A lot of yall old heads love to say classics are all about timing. Isn't this the perfect time for a Classic to be released? I'm sorry, but i'm not sure how this compares to Lupe's debut. Kendrick has a camp around him that can also release quality music just as good as GKMC. Lupe ain't have that going forward. IMO, this albums will be considered a classic because it will change things up. The acclaim is spread out everywhere and most of these other artist is going to back to the drawing board.

I don't really fault him like I said in my review and this thread, it wasn't his fault or Lupe's fault but it is what it is. I agree that this is the perfect time for something as quality of as "Good Kid, Maad City" to come out. Rap needs it but I think some of the reviews he's getting a 1/2 mic or full mic extra or more based off the state of the game more so then the album. Had the game had more balance of quality I don't think I would be seeing "XXL's" ratings. But since the game is suffering sometimes we need an album to elevate. Lupe's debut I think after 6 years is aging very well and will probably be considered a Classic, I did a thread about it. I have to see how I feel about GKMC in 2017. As far as his album "Changing the Game", It takes years to come up with that determination. "ILLmatic and Ready To Die" changed the game. "Cuban Link's" Changed the game. DMX Debut changed the game. Impact is very key to changing the game. We have to see the impact of GKMC. I agree that this album again is a shinning light and I'm very happy that someone like Kendrick is getting the spotlight. If rap is lacking anything, it's creativity. I very please to see Kendrick not fall into the formula trap and just make an album that was more about him than appealing to specific rap fans.

Ehh, slow down pimp.

Like i said ive followed TDE since 2006 but how you gonna call this album a classic when it just came out? You have to at least wait a few years to see if it still holds up, see the change FIRST before you claim that the album EVENTUALLY MAY change the game and look back at the mark it made. I think the problem is alot of you mfs go strictly off of hype. Im not rocking with Shyne's opinion but nor am i shunning his way of expressing it. Listen, i remember how people would say "FOH with that shit" just years ago when you tried to put dudes on to Nipsey, Jay Rock, Kendrick etc a few years ago, now all of a sudden everybody is rocking with him and his album is a classic? Chill my dude.

Remember when Coles album came out and people said the same shit about how it was a classic cuz the hype machine sold it to yall and it sold a more nrs than expected? Its been a year and i dont see nobody calling the album a classic now..

Im not saying the album aint or wont be a classic but chill. The release date was like 2 days ago and already its a classic? Again, that Interscope hype machine is getting to some of yall. I personally love the album too so dont get me wrong.

I remember last year there were a lot of "Cole dropped a Classic". It's a year later and I really don't see anyone calling it a Classic. CW was a solid debut no doubt but I don't see it being a Classic. I always get wary of someone calling something a Classic out the gate cause the truth is only Time determine's true classic status. Sure certain art seems Destine for Classic status when it 1st drops. We've had plenty of those examples in the 80's and 90's. So maybe GKMC may be on a classic trajectory but 1 day after it was released? Let's not get ahead of ourselves. My point is dudes crying cause Shyne didn't like the album. Sure calling it "Trash" he probably went overboard but I think his view is "Interscope and the hype machine is calling him the 2nd coming and I didn't get that from the album" and you know what, that's his opinion. But now dudes taking like Shyne never dropped no hot music is where I have to call some folks out. Cause his debut "Shyne" was not weed plate, mad people were bumping that in 2000.

respect @rapmastermind and i feel you at @cirocobama, but i'm not the only crazy one calling this album a classic.

It’s not just us posters that’s doing all the hype about the album. Obviously everybody is feeling the same way – from major hip hop blogs, and websites alike. Besides Shyne and his random stans that popped out outta nowhere, the reaction is consistent. I personally think the Hype is deserved for K.Dot and that this reaction was inevitable. I hate to say it, but Kendrick has been in a league of his own (well.. with K.R.I.T and J.Cole). If Section 80 was released as his major label debut, we'd be having this same convo. Yes, the classic rants are overboard, but it just seem like you 90’s heads feel like it’s yall job to to ordain an album “Classic”.

lol@Shyne being hot... he was the nigga Puff signed who sounded like BIG... then he was the nigga who did a bid for Puff... now he a black Jew gangsta? lolwut?

Yall get caught up in too much sh!t that dont matter. If you like it that should be enough. I listened to Flockavelli when i dipped to the bank today cause i like that cd. A lotta people do that hear it. And I like Gucci, Future and a lotta people who get "negative" attention on here. I know thats cause their doin somethin right. F@ck somebody's opinion, I listen to what i want regardless. Thats real.
