@rapmastermind i respect your posts, but why you keep faulting K.Dot for his album being released in "down years" and slighting him for "Shining in a weak game" as if it's fault the game is so whack? A lot of yall old heads love to say classics are all about timing. Isn't this the perfect time for a Classic to be released? I'm sorry, but i'm not sure how this compares to Lupe's debut. Kendrick has a camp around him that can also release quality music just as good as GKMC. Lupe ain't have that going forward. IMO, this albums will be considered a classic because it will change things up. The acclaim is spread out everywhere and most of these other artist is going to back to the drawing board.
Ehh, slow down pimp.
Like i said ive followed TDE since 2006 but how you gonna call this album a classic when it just came out? You have to at least wait a few years to see if it still holds up, see the change FIRST before you claim that the album EVENTUALLY MAY change the game and look back at the mark it made. I think the problem is alot of you mfs go strictly off of hype. Im not rocking with Shyne's opinion but nor am i shunning his way of expressing it. Listen, i remember how people would say "FOH with that shit" just years ago when you tried to put dudes on to Nipsey, Jay Rock, Kendrick etc a few years ago, now all of a sudden everybody is rocking with him and his album is a classic? Chill my dude.
Remember when Coles album came out and people said the same shit about how it was a classic cuz the hype machine sold it to yall and it sold a more nrs than expected? Its been a year and i dont see nobody calling the album a classic now..
Im not saying the album aint or wont be a classic but chill. The release date was like 2 days ago and already its a classic? Again, that Interscope hype machine is getting to some of yall. I personally love the album too so dont get me wrong.
